Not sure which team has the tallest order.  Newport facing Spurs at Wembley seems pretty tall, but given the result this last weekend, who knows what is going to happen with Spurs.

I think the tallest order is actually for Notts County, having to go to the fortress that has been the Liberty stadium to play a defensively strong Swansea side, despite them now being without Bony for the rest of the season.

Waiting for Swans/County to start in 10 minutes, so I'm watching Bayer / Bremen in the German equivalent of the FA Cup, and 3 minutes in Bremen lead after a pen. Not sure I want to switch back.

2-0 on the stroke of the 8th minute.

Nothing so far in the other 2 matches as we wait for the start of the Swans' match.

Very intriguing

Dyer should have done better there, but just not enough on that strike.

2018-02-06 03:10:48 PM
Plenty of good seats still available at the Liberty Stadium.

2018-02-06 03:11:31 PM
Swans win a corner after Dyer tries to find Abraham on the cross, but it is headed out.

2018-02-06 03:14:08 PM
Ratlidge was looking for reinforcements, but they were not coming.  Disappointing, really.

Hah! now I have multiview between my Sky box (Bayer/Bremen) and BBC (Swans/County). Woot.

Nice.  That would require me to switch rooms and TVs, but I am comfortable where I am.

Leverkusen pull one back, 2-1 with just over half an hour. Classic lateral pass away from the goalie.

2018-02-06 03:23:47 PM
and Former Bristol City Striker Tammy Abraham puts the Swans in front.

2018-02-06 03:24:29 PM
Oh wow.  Abraham just tapped that in to give Swans the lead.  Narsingh put that right where he wanted it.  Well done.

2018-02-06 03:25:06 PM
Dyer makes it 2

2018-02-06 03:25:07 PM
Dyer! Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeit, just like that.

2018-02-06 03:26:13 PM
His first goal in 2.5 years.

2018-02-06 03:29:49 PM
Swansea keeper goes for the punch rather than the catch, and he almost paid for that miscue.

2018-02-06 03:32:27 PM
Cyrene Valantion must be happy with this score line.

As is Princip's Sandwich, especially with the goals coming off players who have been in a rather lengthy drought.

harleyquinnical: His first goal in 2.5 years.

And now his 2nd.

2018-02-06 03:35:27 PM
In the Rochdale match vs Millwall, there have been only 4 shots (2 for each team), 1 of which was on target.  No surprise that game is scoreless, and it will probably go (Dyer with another) to penalties.

2018-02-06 03:36:52 PM
too Much English on that shot for a Welsh team.

2018-02-06 03:37:14 PM
Dyer makes it 3 on a nice finish into the side net.
Notts County not picking people up around the box though.

2018-02-06 03:37:52 PM
Birmingham and Huddersfield have at least been trying with their combined 8 shots.

2018-02-06 03:38:05 PM
That should have been 4

2018-02-06 03:39:51 PM
Hoorn with a wide open head just in front of goal decides to Rooney it instead.

And a second look to judge how bad of an elbow he threw there.

2018-02-06 03:40:57 PM
County pull one back!

2018-02-06 03:41:34 PM
Notts get one back?  Wow.  From a 19 yardd# with some bend on it.  3-1

Nordfeldt had no chance.

2018-02-06 03:43:09 PM
Husin gets one back for Notts County.
3-1

2018-02-06 03:45:31 PM
Fun fact. Juventus wear their iconic black and white jersey's because of Notts County.

2018-02-06 03:46:22 PM
Notts County certainly turning up the pressure.  Unless the Swans get another before the break, this is not exactly done and dusted

2018-02-06 03:47:41 PM
Nordfeldt up to task Of corralling that ball

2018-02-06 03:48:08 PM
Great punching save from Nordfeldt.

Which came around as their original pink strips kept running in the wash. They occasionally have pink as their 3rd shirt.

2018-02-06 03:53:24 PM
Tammy gets his 2nd. 4-1 before the break.

2018-02-06 03:54:05 PM
Oh that looked way too easy.  Nasingh got it and waited for Abraham to get open and rather than taking a touch, Abraham launches a one timer.

2018-02-06 03:55:58 PM
And Birmingham grab the lead over Huddersfield

2018-02-06 03:57:00 PM
Abraham with the 4th.
Once again Notts letting attackers roam in the box with no marking.

2018-02-06 03:57:50 PM
Rochdale breaks their deadlock with Millwall

2018-02-06 04:01:57 PM
All square in Leverkusen, Brandt's second is goal of the night so far, turning, on a penny to blast it into the top corner from just outsde the 18yd box.

harleyquinnical: Rochdale breaks their deadlock with Millwall

Someone shot the ball in that game?
Unpossible

Just seen the state of that pitch. Egg-chasing would have been better for that.

Hey what's happening the Swansea-Notts County...ohhhh.  Tough for the oldest club in professional football to get back from there.

Got a new work computer (although this is being typed on the old one) and can't wait to do my simulation analytics work on it.  Football Manager counts as simulation analytics, right?  Now I'll actually be able to do that 207-nation save I postulated a while back.

2018-02-06 04:16:48 PM
Ouch. 5-1 with a massive deflectio.

Wrong, that was straight in.

Well, that's five for Swansea then.  One more and the BBC starts using words instead of digits.

With you as the center forward for the Scots, right?

6-1, Routledge. Not even an hour on the clock.
