(6ABC Philadelphia)   What if Philly had a parade, and free beer was offered? I'm afraid we'll find out. Question: Despite being mid-day and windchill in the 20s, should a Fark Party be declared?   ( 6abc.com) divider line

Free (or very low cost) beer has never gone wrong.

I'm flying south Thursday morning, so I have a good excuse for drinking elsewhere.

I admire you for living in a harsher climate than the climate in which I live. Your life choices have clearly led to the selection of heavier coats, hats and boots, for which you are to be commended.

Gubbo: The rare headline question where the answer is an unequivocal YES

Difficulty:  It's Bud Lite.

I used to frequent a message board for Igglephans (that's the name of the website btw),anyways I flew out for a Rams v Eagles game at the Vet, tailgated with a bunch of guys I only knew through the internetwho were all opposing team fans, had a great morning.

Long story short, I was wearing a Rams jersey, and we were all seated in the noted most unruly part of the stadium, the 700 level. When a guy in the row behind us was getting ready to give me the beer shower as a welcome to Philly present one of those guys stood up and said if one drop of beer hits me or my daughter we're gonna go at it.

Most Philly fans are good people IMO, most...

Come on, we know how this works.  Drink some real beer or whatever your preference before you go and that way you won't taste the Bud Lite that you're getting for free.

Don't get me wrong. It's still a yes. Just no longer an unqualified yes.

Thanks, I was confused and trying to help you avoid a pit of misery situation.  I hear the pit of misery in Philadelphia has a court and a jail cell built into it - although I guess it's not a pit of misery anymore.

I've been to Philly. The whole place was a pit of misery.

Although there was a wedding party at the hotel that I ended up crashing while heavily under the influence of alcohol. With men with Jersey accents named Vinny. And women with real big hair.

No part of the article calls it apocalyptic. It's just a reminder to wear a winter coat, but not necessarily your heaviest one.

Wind chills were -10 below the week of the wild card games.

Vinnys are okay. Watch out for Carmines.

I recall just putting on a stronger than normal Irish accent and ordering drinks, but I don't entirely remember. The lack of memory, and my head the next day, strongly suggest that I succeeded in the drinking part.
