Lots of farewell tours by baby boomers going on.  Elton John, Paul Simon, Neil Diamond.

Judas Priest is another act on its farewell tour.

That said, Simon should have been gone already. I've heard him several times on tv over the last few years and his voice is gone. Really too bad.

I think it was last year, my parents wedding anniversary coincided with Paul Simon performaning at the Winstar casino (North of Dallas). They spent the weekend up there, got a nice suite and all.

On the flip side, Prince has apparently come out of retirement.

Alt- retired?

All of my musical heros are dying. Along with the concept of listening to a whole "album". I wish I could relate to the youngs what it was like to go to somebody's parents house after school to smoke the marywanna and listen to the new zeppelin or stones or grateful dead or who record.
I feel like they missed out. Probably just an old man.. pissing in the wind.

Big Paul Simon fan here. I hope before he goes off into the sunset, he does one last Saturday Night Live performance. I was lucky enough to catch his Graceland tour at Radio City Music Hall back in the mid 80's and it was one of the best concerts I've ever seen.

Truly one of America's finest songwriters, and an under-rated guitarist. Everyone seems to forget how good he is on guitar but not me, I pick up on such things.

If this doesn't put a smile on your face, you need to buy a pulse.
