Maybe this is where the concussion problem will take us. Essentially the NFL will be two head coaches playing Madden 2027.

For the same reason they used the Sky Cam this season, they want to attract the Madden-onlycrowd, not actual football fans.

Live From Super Bowl LII: NBC To Debut Virtual 3D Graphics Tech Incorporating Player Body Scans

The 'volumetric-AR' technology features life-like player animations, was developed by an army of vendors

"An army of vendors" huh?  That's means lots of cooks in the kitchen and no one actually doing the work.  When push came to shove they just threw something out there.

My friend who doesnt normally watch football randomly texted me  "WTF is up with the terrible animation?" I said I dont know but they could have used Madden graphics and it would have looked 100 times better.

I gotta admit, I was a little disappointed when the Tide ad with two David Harbours as the QBs used actual footage instead of the creepy uncanny valley shiat.

Fark NBC , they are only relevant in sports and even their coverage sucks on so many levels  . Their 'news' is just as bad as Faux News .
