That was an excellent game all of the way through.  I predict Patsy fans to be biatching about the one touchdown that was close to out of bounds though.

Really great game. Philly earned that.

Now, please burn your city to the ground.

I've said many a derogatory thing about Philadelphia, but you know something? They earned it. Good on them. Have a good time celebrating this one, Eagles fans.

I'm a Steelers fan, and frankly I love the game way more than I love the Steelers or the Hokies:  But he sure looked out of bounds to me.

Broad street is packed from City Hall southward. I was at Locust and barely made it to the corner. A ton of drunk ecstatic Eagles fans and a few tourists who are amazed at the spectacle. I hope WaWa survives...

He had two feet down before the questionable one on the line, I suppose it comes down to whether you say he had control of the ball when the first step landed.  With all of the gifts the Pats got from the refs against Jacksonville, I'll call it karmic justice that this one went the Eagles' way.

Philly Philly, I guess.

Pissed the Pats lost, but the Eagles played well and the Pats D was pretty bad.

Great game. I am very sports entertained. I love seeing a different team win and Philly certainly earned it tonight.

Yeah, I'm no expert on this sort of thing, I accept what the refs call on the field and/or booth the vast majority of the time.  The guys calling the game are way better than those replacements we had a few years back, so I'm hardly complaining.

I was more concerned with no-calls.  PI and offensive holding by lineman just seemed to not happen tonight.

Personally, I thought the questionable calls balanced out.  In my mind they were the Pats not getting flagged for DPI in the end zone and the wobbly TD that stood.

Everyrhing else in the game is 2 steps. Why do random touchdowns suddenly need 18 steps, a hoedown, and a curtsey, and a written letter to New York filled out in triplicate 12 business days beforehand?

Honestly, I was gonna completely skip it this year but my friend called up an hour before the game and invited me over.

I chose wisely by going over and watching.

The fans here in Philly are partying and there's no burning ...just a lot of happy people.

Also, fark the haters. Philly is a great town. It makes it on its own with homegrown businesses and universities. It's one of the cities in this country you could really say picks itself up by the bootstraps.

Nope. I'm actually glad Philly won to be honest. It lets these twats in Foxborough that no one is perfect.

Seriously,  announcers with such an obvious bias detract from the game...

Neither D was great. I've never seen so many wide open receivers and and blown tackles in a game of this magnitude.

What's the saying, you could call holding on every play of the game if you really wanted to?  PI is also always a bit of a judgement call.  The refs have to choose to either watch both teams like hawks and call it constantly, which slows the momentum of the game and makes people zone out, or just let the guys play and only call the really egregious examples.  For a superbowl taking the latter approach seems like the right move.  It's the only exposure to the NFL a lot of people have all year, so might as well do what they can to keep it entertaining.

Great game.  Defense wins championships and Philly's D had the one big turnover in the 4th.

Foles may have just played himself into another starting gig with his playoff performance.  Depending on how the Cousin's shiatshow turns out, Denver, Arizona, Buffalo and Jacksonville may all be willing to part with a 1st to upgrade their QB position.  Cousins would all be their first choice, but failing that, Nick Foles may be the next best upgrade.

i've been flipping between the various local news channels here in Philly for the last half hour or so, and I've only seen one fight on camera. The crowds are immense, much bigger than I expected to see, and so far it has been fairly civilized. Stay classy, Philly, and enjoy your title.
