Tide ads were brilliant.  Most of the other ads were meh.

I thought it was good.  Not Prince or Katy Perry good, but still good.  He had a marching band, so that gains him some points, and I thought the Prince duet was nice.

The only real issue I had was that he jumped from song to song too quickly.

He was better when he was dating Cameron Diaz

It was...fine.  There have been some actual bad shows.  This one didn't get to that level.

I liked it, but it was a bit like flipping through the channels

What's with the hate? It's not the type of music I'd really seek out, but it was entertaining/ Got off to a bad start with a pretty muddy sound, but once he got out there it was okay. I liked the shot of the marching band standing in the V formation. That was really cool.

It's almost like different people have different tastes ;)

I feel indifferent about it.

Justin's difficulty was he couldn't come up with a hologram of Left Shark.  What am I saying?  Katy Perry's SB show sucked like a Hoover.

Eh, I liked it.  It was a spectacle.  Riding in on a giant fire-breathing lion?  Flying through the air on a spark-spitting trapeze while fireworks exploded all around?  Cool trippy floor-light effects?  Multiple costume changes?  It was a spectacle, which is what a halftime show really demands.  She turned it up to 11, and no one since has really matched the showmanship she had.

I teared up a little over this.

Not a fan of HT shows, generally, and I don't think the sound mix was right on my sound system.

Yup. It wasn't fantastic. It wasn't terrible. It wasn't offensive. Is wasn't inspiring. It wasn't the worst SB halftime show ever.

It was perfectly cromulent.

US Bank stadium has had previous sound issues. The terrible echos at U2 concert there, nearly caused the collapse of the entire state government.

Yeah, up until the very end that kid looked completely unenthused.

I was on the phone--having an actual conversation...with a person.

Justin and that kid--taking selfies...made me want to hork.

Timberlake looked like Larry the Cable Guy had given up comedy for fashion design and Justin was debuting his new spring collection.

It was watchable. The Prince thing when they lit up the area outside the stadium was pretty cool. It was well choreographed and the guy's got talent.

It wasn't anything noteworthy. It wasn't Prince or even Gaga quality (who I thought was excellent, despite being relatively unfamiliar with her songs or even really a fan of that genre) but it also wasn't Phil Collins circa 2000.

Wasn't that Katy Perry's backpack boy?

The choreography was better than the music, which was a shiatty medley of his pop hooks. And what has become custom: A tribute to Prince using Prince's worst songs.

That had me in the feels, and that is some pretty good CGI they used for that scene. The new stadium has sound issues that might have played a part in how the half time show sounded like. Metallica was the first band to play in that stadium, and there were many complaints about how the sound was horrible there. I remember hearing a few people wanted their tickets refund, for the awful sound.

Should've done "Dick in a Box."

I didn't even notice it until someone in the bar yelled "I thought he was dead". So I caught the Prince bit. I was more interested in the friends I was socializing with.

That's the best description I've heard so far. I was shooting pool, BS-ing with friends. It was background noise. None of us would've know if it was "the show" or a commercial until the Prince thing.

Because nothing says wide appeal to a billion viewers than a 60-year old man doing a medley about Oxford commas and the Star Wars prequels.

Weird Al is "fetch" as far as the Super Bowl

I'm not a fan of his music, but how can you not like the guy? Kinda the anti-Ted Nugent. The show was fine.

I really like Justin Timberlake lately but was incredibly underwhelmed by watching him sing back up to a Justin Timberlake mix tape.
