I have to assume the Bulls because of the refs and the allegations about MJ's first retirement... I guess? I don't know.

As far as the Cubs thing, I assume subby meant the White Sox (Black Sox)?

I mean, throw out every other position, the majority of their receiving corps is white so that may be where the disparity is noticeable.

Now factor the winning with the league which is 90% Black. I think we're at "mashed potatoes means something" levels.

My main takeaway from that article is that even though the Pats organization has several marginalizing figures, Richard Spencer is still a bigger dickhead than all of them combined.

I mean, the Patriots do a lot of things against league convention (and it seems to farking work). Blount, for example, probably wouldn't be in the NFL if the Pats didn't give him a shot after he quit on the Pittsburgh Steelers.

That being said, as I mentioned in the game thread, the Eagles podium was incredibly white (especially given the player responsible for the big turnover was not up there, though he was given the first on-field post game interview). And it was IIRC the Eagles podium two weeks ago, which was also incredibly white (Howie's kid was on the podium after forcing a strip-sack in that game).

I mean, I don't honestly know the stats of the Pats players being whiter than other teams save at one position, but I did find it "odd" about the Eagles podium thing.

I love how last year the Super Bowl was the "white guys versus the black guys" when there was pretty much an even number of white guys and black guys on both teams.

Give the Cubs another year or so.  The Red Sox fans took only a year or transform from sympathetic long-suffering underdogs to insufferable douchebags.  You shouldn't expect Chicago fans to become sufferable douchbags in only a year (they have to stray further their baseline personality than Bostonians do), but give them another year or so and they'll do it.

Accusations of preferential treatment. Rules were changed to favor Jordan. Fouls were rarely called against him, to the point where Pat Riley referred to him as "Your Highness" in postgame interviews.

In general, the Stern era was not a good time for basketball.

It's the Jets, they haven't been relevant since bell bottoms were the groovy pants to wear, cut them a little bit of slack

I was rooting for the Eagles, but on another day the Pats win.
They. are simply the best franchise with the best quarterback and coach over the last decade.
And the game was called fairly.  Sure the Pats have cheated, but they also play better.

And stop this nonsense about white vs. black.  Gronkowski is an outstanding tight end, there is no issue with his race or play calling.  Tom Brady is undeniably in the top 3 QB of all time.

Because that's not the only thing they were doing.  That's just the thing the media focused on the most.
They also liked to raid the visiting team locker room for playbooks.  This got so bad that visiting teams started leaving out fake playbooks.
Additionally, visiting teams electronics like their communications devices seem faulty or defective.  Tomlin let slip a couple years ago that this is still an ongoing problem.
Plus, the QB has a speaker in his helmet so they can feed him plays.  This communication is supposed to end before the play starts.  A former Pats backup QB has said that didn't happen at home games.  Brady, the "goat", was being fed info on defenses and open receivers during live plays.
This wasn't just about signals or deflated footballs.  They've been doing some real underhanded stuff to win football games.  When they get caught they double down and play the victim.  That's why I can't give them the benefit of the doubt.

Eh.... Jordan was most known for being in favor of the refs because of how big the spotlight was on him... but ALL of basketball, since I've been watching has had different rules for superstars.  It sucks, but I guess they value the entertainment part over good, solid competition.  All superstars get calls or no-calls in their favor in the NBA.

The Red Sox were the last team to integrate... part of why they took most of a century to win a world series is because they didn't bother to put the best talent available on the field.

Wrong.  The Tigers and the Red Sox both brought in their first black player after the Phillies did.
