Drunkenly bad.

mikemoto: Drunkenly bad.

Among other things, Scot McCloughan assembled the rosters that took the 49ers and Seahawks to their recent Super Bowls.  Given the Browns have 12 picks this year, including the No. 1 and No. 4, he'll probably hit on plenty, especially on defense.  (Won't help having a 1-31 head coach, though.)

McCloughan, universally recognized as one of the league's top talent evaluators,

How many coaching/front office hires for the Browns have been painted with similar superlatives in the past 20 years? Didn't read the comments, but I'm sure I'd see -- as I've already been seeing on Facebook -- the true believers and their "this time it's different" delusions.

I don't know if he'll be good at drafting an NFL team, but I'll watch.

I seriously thinked they rocked last year's draft.  Maybe the players need time to develop?  Not sure, I'm frequently wrong, but with evidence to back up my way of thinking...

They rocked it so hard, they passed on Deshaun Watson.

Why not both? It's the Browns.

No, I don't think they are cursed. I think the organization has a rotten culture from top to bottom and that corrupts even the best of intentions.

That gif is awesome. Did you put it together or did someone do it for you? I remember the hunt to find the place in the video.

I mean, most of the time it's a case of puffery with pretending the guy is good.

This guy is legitimately good. He just has an alcohol problem that makes him available to the Browns.

But he helped make the 49ers and Seahawks great and Washington better than what they were.

...and given how he "survived" his first year with the Texans, he probably would've been ground into a fine paste had he been with the Browns.

I'm still mad at Danny Boy for running him out of the Redskins organization after a couple of excellent drafts.

He's actually correct.

Homeless drunk recommended drafting rookie drunk.

As a life-long Browns fan, I contend that the decision makers in the front office have not been sober since 1999.  Not only did they draft a drunk, they drafted while drunk.

They even let the bottle do the drafting, like the time the bottle of Jack Daniels came out to announce the Manziel pick.

Uh-huh. And Mike Holmgren helped make the Packers great. Ditto for Carmen Policy and the 49ers, Butch and UM, etc., etc., etc.
