This is a Toddlers and Tiaras hit piece. And the Duggars.

I know my Fark brethren and sistren get it.

Not a single Kardashian? What about Jeremiah from that Amish show?

Haha...firefox didn't correct "sistren" on that last comment. It did this time, though.

TLC used to have good cooking shows on it, back when it was still The Learning Channel.  Now it's just one of the channels that's never used in our house.

I appeared on a TLC reality show. Yes, really. One that I was sure would never air, and probably would not have, but when they pulled 19 and Counting off the schedule they put ut in the time slot and burned off the episodes.

Fortunately, they didn't put all of the episodes on streaming.

The crew was a hoot to work with, and the star of the show was one of the nicest, most charming people I've ever met. I have a lot of great stories about the experience, but the NDA is ironclad and they take a photograph of you initialing each page.

If you ever meet me at a fark party, ask away.

It singlehandedly redefined the music industry by making music videos mainstream, every act no matter how established made videos for their top singles. And it brought shows like The Young Ones and Red Dwarf to US audiences. It's also where I first heard that Cliff Burton had died while on tour in the UK, they literally had a breaking news segment when that occurred. Which they could do, because the VJs were in house and actually did deliver daily music news. It was when they went to prerecorded format and reality tv that they became moronic

Vince from Sons of Guns
All the cast of Storage Wars (with the exception of Barry)
Beth Chapman

I can't be in the same room with TLC.
I've been pretty good at avoiding it, as I don't know most of the cretins on the list.
HOWEVER
I do fly into a murderous rage when that Long Island Medium biatch comes up.  There is a special place in Hell for frauds and liars on such a grand scale as her, just like that damn pillow guy ("warshable!")
I swear I will get even with the pillow guy some day, and it won't be pretty.

They tried to bring B&B back but since they don't do music videos anymore, they had to rip on Mtv shows. I guess some suit didn't like that so it didn't last long.

Snookie: "Whore, hello?"
Butthead: "That's how she answers the phone."

The best parts of B&B were the video segments.  when they tried to revive it, and the duo were slamming the MTV reality shows, I almost had a heart attack laughing.  Yeah, they killed the show again.

A lot of networks' programming has nothing to do with their name nowadays. Even the SyFy (?) Channel airs non-sci-fi stuff in between bad CGI creature features.

I mean, their quality is debatable, but they do exist.

I didn't say they don't exist but they also run a lot of crap that has nothing to do with science fiction. Today isn't a good example because they're running a Futurama marathon, probably counter-programming to the Super Bowl.
