Unintentional allegory for the moral abdication of the Republican party.

Am I joking? Am I?

I get that same sentiment from Young Sheldon, Thursdays at 8:30, only on CBS.

Look into the hero's of Marvel & DC.  Want to die?  Be a parent to a super hero.

...This show is well written and acted, and does a very good job of showing the complex dynamics between family members.

It is also the most depressing goddamned thing I've seen on TV in a VERY long time.  Everything these people do runs back in some way to the father's death, and it really does seem to be an obsession at this point.  I'd almost be willing to bet that when they do reveal it, it's going to end up being a 'twist' that wrecks the show.

My wife loves the show and it wrecks her every time she watches it. But she also singles out Sterling K Brown as brilliant and amazing to watch.
Still, it just strikes me as an emotional gut punch every week.

My wife watches the show. So far from what I can tell this is the answer.
After that episode, she was crying. Our 3 year-old goes, "MOM! STOP. It's not sad." Then I sent her sister-in-law a Facebook message and said "Hey, send your sister some Crock-Pot recipes."  So, she did and it confused the hell out of my wife.

Hell, the Politics Tab does that on a daily basis.
