I dunno about one best friend, but I had some close friends in high school. The one I miss the most was this Jewish guy, a wrestler and a football player. He had me beat by probably 60-80 pounds (ever hear of "big boned" people? I happen to have a small skeleton). One day during lunch, I grappled him from behind and he reached back and with one hand tossed me over him before he realized what he was doing and I landed square on my back. Naturally the place was full of cute girls and the one obligatory Latino dude going "OHHHHHH" in the background.

My closest male friends in college (at least two of them) and I spend enough time with each other that we barely had to speak at times to have entire conversations.

usually we would just make eye contact and give a slight nod, a slight nod back was message received.
remarkably we really understood what the other person was thinking with high accuracy.

You know that I wish I were Jessie's girl. Why can't I be a woman like that?

Who the HELL wants a 2nd girlfriend to work at?

Also, friends mom is fun as a joke but no one talks about  how it injects awkwardness into your friendship afterwards
