Or on Youtube via NISMO TV

They're both the same feed with the same commentary (Radio Le Mans mixed with Australia's 7 Network), so it's just a question of what you like more.

/I would've added a line questioning which driver will rip into his co-driver on live TV this year

I forgot about that.  that was fun.

Starting this race in the dark is one of the most brilliant ideas ever in motorsports.

Also worth a link, because most of us won't be familiar with these liveries or driver combinations:

Then there is always the question of whether we get a wildlife caution or not.

Also more info for people who might be new to the event:

It's multi-class racing, but no prototypes.  The top cars are the A-class cars, which are GT3 machines.  These are the same category of cars used in GTD in IMSA racing.  They're purpose-built race cars, but strictly homologated and regulated to equalize performance.  They're broken into Pro, Pro-Am, and Am categories, depending on whose driving.

B-class cars are Porsche GT3 Cup cars.  Despite the name they're not GT3 cars... they're built to a single-make series that is run all over the world as an entry to GT racing and driver development.

C-class is your GT4 / SP-X category.  These are either production cars turned into racing machines, or track-day cars with numbers on them.  These cars race in the Continental Tire Series in IMSA.

And then there's the I-class, which is for non-homologated cars that are allowed to run anyways.  Pretty much all of these are one-off special build cars, most (all?) built locally.

Looking at that final image, 3 cars have withdrawn prior to qualifying. One after a practice wreck and the others never even showed.

The #9 took a heavy hit on the 2nd turn in qualifying yesterday that took half the session to clean up. That car may be pulled.

And for those unfamiliar with the track, a map:

Starting this race in the dark with no lights around the track, especially on the mountain; is one of the most insane things in racing, IMO.

In other news, IMSA has the Rolex 24 up on their Youtube page already. How they split the race up is a little weird, but it's all there.

/And it's the world feed with Hindhaugh and co.

In under 2 hours, we've now had more safety car periods than we did in 24 hours last weekend in Daytona

2018-02-03 03:36:40 PM
Late to the thread, was watching the race on one tv and messing about in forza driving various cars on Mt Panorama at the same time for a bit.

Love this race and track. How may more will crash out I wonder now that the bently just found a wall.

Daytona was absurdly clean, kind of give credence to the PC class standing for "prototype chicane/crash" names.

Love that Canadian scheme on the 39 Audi.

2018-02-03 04:30:35 PM
That's amazing that a national network would schedule a nonstop 12 hour race to run.  Hell, we can't even get that with a dedicated sports network even on their secondary channels.

That tire is determined to complete the lap

You picked a fine time to leave me loose wheel

2018-02-03 04:41:36 PM
Pretty sure I heard the drunken cheering when that tire fell over all the way in Saskatchewan.

2018-02-03 04:55:47 PM
Daytona really spoiled us last week.

2018-02-03 04:56:04 PM
Another wheel makes a break for freedom.

And considering the number of cars we've had in the wall in the first 3.5 hours, can you honestly blame them?

2018-02-03 05:01:46 PM
colonel sanders must've put some chicken grease down on the track

2018-02-03 05:03:00 PM
