Oh yeah, you wrap it with bacon and all that; it's tasty.  I mean, I'll probably throw some sausages or something else in there, too, or maybe go pick up some ribs, but a smoked meatloaf is good.

None.  I do however have half an eye roast sliced very thin, marinated overnight, and drying out in the oven for jerky.

Tomorrow, I'm going to do slices that haven't been marinated in order to make more pemmican.  I already have the rendered suet.

I do want to try this, though:

Because low sodium diet, I can't really have a lot of sausage, but this I could make a low sodium version using potassium chloride instead of salt.

It takes three days to make chili? You've more self control than I. It'd be all gone after day 2.

I'm boycotting the Super Bowl, like I have every year for the past, oh, 50 years of my life.

The *ONE* time I actually watched the half-time show, Janet Jackson flashed her tit, though, so I have that going for me, which is nice.

Oh hells yes.

With this addition:

That said, I'm doing a brisket this weekend. I was in Home Depot last week and they had a Smokey Mountain on closeout for $145. Did ribs last weekend and they were the bomb! Can't wait to to try the big hunk.

My gf uses a mix of ground pork and ground beef for her meatloaf recipe and it's excellent. It was from a time her grandmother had accidentally bought 1lb of each on accident but went with it anyway.

/dull story, bro

Meatloaf is surprisingly very good when smoked. Wrapped in bacon, it's on another level entirely.

1) Brown 1/4 lb sausage in skillet.

2) Slide a pizza under the sausage.

3) Bake.

This is very weird. I bought ground pork yesterday for the first time in months (I actually almost never buy it, maybe once a year, maaaybe.) I was planning on making meatballs and tomato sauce. I know meatballs are supposed to be a mix of pork and veal/beef for optimal tastiness but I'm going to try all pork. I honestly didn't want to spend $4 for a handful of ground beef (and it was a small handful.) Pork sausage makes good sauce, why not pork meatballs.

Update: This is one of the best tomato sauces I've made in a long time. So sweet. I think it's because of the pork (sweet meat) and fresh parsley (that cuts down the acidity of the tomatoes).

Pot stickers.

I've discovered that, far from being daunting and hard, pot stickers are a preposterously forgiving food. Very easy to add stuff to the recipe.
