So many dead comedians...sorry, subby, but this is just kind of depressing.

Make sure you don't watch any comedy made before 1950. Most of those casts are dead, too. It'll be too much for you ;)

Look here, Ms. (favorite: is a chick), ;), there's a stark difference between people who died during your lifetime and people who died well before it. I'm only 34.

FARK CHALLENGE!

There was a sketch show with Martin that had Jeff Goldblum on. It was a 1984 parody where Goldblum's character mentions offhandedly that "I can't think of a worse thing than a week at the beach". He wants to vacation in the mountains. Later Martin plays him a recording of him saying that and decides to use it to torture him, laughingly maniacally. Smash cut to Goldblum sitting on a beach chair with a ball on his lap.

FIND ME A CLIP OF THAT.

Chris Rock with his hand in his pocket during the kick line, rather than around Dana Carvey's shoulders. Weird.

It'll be worse when the ones dying are younger than you... believe me :(

Funny to see young, skinny Rock.

Maybe I saw it wrong but Rock has his hand on Carvey's shoulder.

Okay, I just took another look. He definately does have his hand on his shoulder, it's just the way the sweatshirt was pulling up over his red undershirt that I thought it was his arm and cuff. Whew, childhood heroes crisis averted.

Remember when Victoria Jackson was the quirky/cute Kristin Schaal-esque cast member before she took a ride on the crazy train?

Heidi Gardner is the current version.

Heidi acts better, but not as cute as Victoria was at the time.  I was 15 when I first saw Victoria, she didn't have to be funny, just talk less.

That skit was OK.

The idea that it's some sort of highlight of the past 30 years is weird.

People who overreact when some celebrity dies and then milks that for the rest of their lives are pathetic.  Hartman was great but, unless you knew him personally, get the hell over yourself.

I'm not sure people are "overreacting".    People appreciate his talent, and then he died way too young and of tragic circumstances.  Obviously, people thinking about that bothers you though.

I swear, the first time I followed the link it dropped me on Steve Martin performing King Tut  in the 1970s.

I followed the link again after reading your responses, and it went to Not Gonna Phone It In Tonight  which I remember watching when it aired.

I have no idea why the link jumped me to 1970s King Tut,  but that's what happened and why I posted what I posted.
