I must have missed the memo

So that's where all those recently graduated Millennial's who can't find jobs with their hard earned degrees in "Feminist Vegan Empowerment" came from

I was a sophomore in high school. Wasn't getting any then.

The sex I can understand. The unanticipated babies -- that's just irresponsible. Wrap that thing up or stay home. Nobody wants to hear about your little miracle that came from nowhere.

I like how the article had nothing about babies until the very last line: "Nine months later, Washington hospitals reported a spike in "furlough babies.""

Is there a term for this sort of headline? Unburying the lead? Re-purposing the article?

Hurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Anyone born after 1994 isn't a Millennial. They are post-millennial. These are Gen-X's kids. And they are more likely entering classes on "Hardcore Vaping" and "Jumping Off Roofs 101"

Is this some advanced form of Millennial shaming? I'm not up on all the new memes, sorry.

A lot of Gen-Xers were forming babbys well before 1994.

There are no precise dates for when the Millennial cohort starts or ends; demographers and researchers typically use the early 1980s as starting birth years and the mid-1990s to early 2000s as ending birth years. The generation after Millennials is called Generation Z: researchers typically use the mid-1990s to mid-2000s as starting birth years and at the present time, there is little consensus regarding ending birth years.

More or less was making light of the idea of stereotypical wasteful schooling and comparing it to popular fads among post-millennial compared to millennial fads. Nothing illegal about vaping or jumping off roofs (parkour) but they're two fads my recently-adult nephews partook in.

I was on my first date with my future (and still current) wife at the Washington Monument that Saturday. (There was nothing else open in DC thanks to the shutdown so we went for a walk around the Mall.)

An ABC TV news crew was there interviewing tourists, and since we were just about the only tourists there (except one cranky old guy and a bunch of homeless people) we of course got interviewed. Didn't know until later that we'd actually been aired as part of that evening's ABC World News Tonight.

I suspect we're just about the only married couple who can truthfully say that their first date was aired on national television as part of the evening news.

All 3 kids are in school at least half day now.  So I'm hoping for nonzero shutdown sex.

But my more realistic hope is that if it goes more than a week my wife and I finish Pandemic: Legacy Season 1.

Oh fark me. The birth center I work at is going to get hammered 9 months from now.
