Trump voters will.  The majority of Americans(by over 3 million votes) wont.

I liked the -4600, but it was a little "inside baseball." I still like "Golf ChaNNel" best of the recent crop.

I heard on Fark that the bill also contains something that further farks with ACA and that's partially why Democrats are opposing it.

Is this true or not?

It removes the cadillac and medical device taxes, I believe.  Essentially more tax cuts for rich people and companies.

F T F A for farks sake:

Overall, about half of Americans say they would blame either Trump (21%) or his Republican counterparts in Congress (26%) should Congress fail to fund the government by the midnight Friday deadline. About a third, 31%, say they would hold the Democrats in Congress responsible, and another 10% say they'd blame all three groups.

2018-01-19 07:12:55 PM
This is a relatively rare situation where the Democrats are the ones being the obstructionist dicks here.

While I'm 100% in support of DACA, I think a fully functioning government should never be considered a bargaining chip.

"A 48 percent plurality says Trump and congressional Republicans are mainly responsible for the situation resulting from disagreements over immigration laws and border security, while 28 percent fault Democrats. A sizable 18 percent volunteer that both parties are equally responsible. Political independents drive the lopsided margin of blame, saying by 46 to 25 percent margin that Republicans and Trump are responsible for the situation. "

Aren't the Republicans using it?

Did it ever hurt the Republucans when they forced shutdowns?  Not appreciably, at least not with their base. Guess what, that's the same crowd that will blame Democrats this time. The Republican base.

Fark them.

So the Democrats' performance on this has worse reviews than either Trump OR the Congressional GOP.  Sounds like Subby is on the right track.

If everyone is for DACA then why are the Republicans using this to shut down the government instead of just passing it like they said they wanted to do?

You can't kick your coworker over and over, bullying them day in and day out, and then expect them to do what you want out of the goodness of their hearts.

Proper governing is compromise.

fark Ryan and McConnell.

Yes.  But the even more BIGLY lie is this is somehow going to hurt the military or troop readiness.  Shutdown happens, the military and defense contractors continue to get paid indefinitely.  When this happened before, even Obama SUPPORTED continuing to fund the military while the GOP waved their dicks in the air.

So yet again, the GOP is a bunch of farking liars.

The corporate penalty. The individual mandate was stripped out in the tax scam bill.

That's encouraging, but recent events have taught me that a pithy, alliterative phrase like "Schumer's Shutdown" will always get more traction than honest facts.

2018-01-19 07:23:45 PM
The media by and large ultimately placed the blame for the 2013 shutdown at Obama's feet, saying as president it's ultimately his job to be the adult in the room.

You don't hear much adult in the room talk in reference to Twumpie.

If it happens on his watch, he owns it.
