Trubisky has a few years of practice before the Bears can truly compete.

However, next year the Barney team gets crushed.

I don't know but they should and yes, I would.  I was always indifferent to the Eagles. Even the beat down they gave us this year wouldn't have bothered me until they started that electric slide bullshiat. That totally triggered me and now I hate them with the fury of a thousand suns.

As a Packers fan, I would root for the Bears if they were playing. The packers and Bears are the oldest and most stories franchises in the league. Due to history and proximity, our franchises and their histories are intertwined. The Bears would not be who they are, and were, without the Packers; and vice versa. I want the Packers to beat the Bears every time we play them, but I want the Bears to be good when it happens, because they are a rival I respect and appreciate. And I think that's a fairly common view,  because every Packer/Bears game I've been to, in Green Bay or Chicago, the fan interaction was always intense but mostly good natured. And I've had more after game tailgating with bears fans than any other team, and it's always a good time.

/On the other hand, fark the Vikings. I'd be happy if they never win another game ever again

The Pack and Da Burz have such a long, storied history. Most people aren't aware that Green Bay lent the Bears money to make their payroll. Or that the Bears petitioned the league to get the Packers reinstated to football after a college player scandal got them banned in the 1920s (yea, really)

Packers held a fundraiser to collect funds to create City Stadium. The headliner at the event? George Halas

There's plenty more.

I love to hate the Burz. They're our biggest rivals, the ones we hit hardest against, and the ones we extend a hand to when they're knocked down. They do the same to us

I disagree.  He hit way too late and didn't have to do more than push him towards the sidelines.  Rodgers is not known for battling his way out of tackles, so throwing him to the ground and landing on top of him was way overdone.  Barr had been on a slide since the previous year and really needed to prove himself to keep his job.  But hey, the Vikings have to do whatever lets the win.... as they never can legally.  It might be fitting to see them play the Patriots.... they can out-cheat each other.

I'm not a huge fan of Clay Matthews techniques, but comparing him or anyone else to Suh the Sociopath is just wrong. NO ONE is as ridiculously evil as Suh.

I like the Bears trajectory in the next few years far better than the path the Packers are on. This season exposed the fact that they got nothin without Rodgers while the Bears have quietly drafted well and now have a solid coaching staff in place to get the most out of Mitch.

/and they managed to not lose Vic Fangio as DC either
