Fox viewers and posters are evil.

Can't we just fire them all into a solar surface mission?

It's cheaper and better for society in the long run, even if it costs seventy gazillion dollars.

It will be a good day if and when California is no longer part of this country!

Even though it'd play right into Putin's hands, I almost want to agree.

Sick you say? Might want to look up the Fark liberals reactions to the fires in Texas a few years ago shortly after Perry's ridiculous 'prayer for rain'. While the prayer might have been stupid, watching liberals sneer and jeer about the fire was pretty typical.

But go on, occupy some moral high ground for me there.

How many of these are genuine, All-American assholes, and how many are Russians paid to stir up even more division? Plenty of both, I suspect.

This country sure as hell isn't "united" at all.

I know that in a recent thread I defended celebrating the death of evil people who knowingly, without remorse, ruined the lives of many -- people like Mitch McConnell and the Koch Bros, when the devil comes to collect those dues. I still think that's a perfectly fine thing to do.

What I will NOT do is celebrate the deaths of random-ass people who just happen to live in Red State #13 while they were minding their own business.

I think you're human if, whenever McConnell dies, you reacted with relief and happiness -- you're just an evil stain on humanity if you see footage of people from The Other Team suffering random deaths.

I'm with you on that, but the surprising thing I discovered after looking at the actual article on Fox News (yes, I went there, but I washed my hands afterward) is that less than half of the comments are from nasty idiots.

If I remember correctly, the "sneering and jeering" was less about people suffering from the fire and more the fact that the Texan government had slashed funding for emergency fire services instead relying on "prayer" to get them through as well as demanding Fed assistance.

I think it's funny that they call for California to secede, and think they'd be hurting from lack of federal dollars.

I could be wrong, here, but isn't California the fourth largest economy on the planet?  Three or five times the GDP of Russia, even?

How old are you?  (rhetorical)

I've become convinced last year that within this century, say 2050ish, California will indeed secede successfully from the nation...and be joined by OR, WA, and probably Hawaii as well.

The rest of the country may fracture as well along old Union/Confederate lines and Richard Spencer may actually get some combination of Idaho-Montana-Wyoming as a white ethnostate when he's an old man.

And one of the biggest payers INTO the federal government. They'd be in the green with something like 15 billion a year if they didn't have to pay the Feds. Probably even more in the coming decade what with legalizing Pot recreational and taxing it. The only problem Calif would have with seceding is the water rights.

Indeed, which is why secession will never happen and is not viable in the slightest.

17 people in California, but I bet that pales in comparison to the number of elderly Trump supporters who get taken out by the flu this year.  Elderly dying from flu does not make the news.

They are not.  They are, however, the drive and the operating force behind today's GOP.  And they're using every underhanded tactic available to them to keep themselves in power, and holding off leftists and moderates to benefit themselves at everyone else's expense.

Seriously though, I had a customer on the phone at work spend the better part of an hour tell me about how awesome Fox News is and how they are the only ones who tell the truth.
He said, and this is more or less an exact quote: "The wall is stopping all of these bad guys from getting into America.  Trump hasn't built it yet but it's stopping our enemies.  But Trump will build it and they say it'll cost 18 billion dollars but Trump will get a better deal because he builds things, you see? He's a business man and he knows how to get a good deal."
This was from someone who lived in Manhattan.

The wall that doesn't exist is keeping out terrorists which is proof of how awesome Trump is according to this guy.  This is what Fox News does to people's brains.  It's like CTE but it affects millions of people.

Nah.  They are.  They're just speaking what the quiet ones are thinking aloud.  And they're certainly representative of the attitudes of many Republicans in Congress.

This is what you've become, Republicans.  You have no plan for America other than to bust down it's equity.  The rich among you are transferring your assets out of the United States.

If you're still a Republican, it's because your hate America.  Anyone that doesn't has backed the fark off.

That was after I called him back... luckily he ran out of steam a minute after my shift ended.
The guy next to me got a huge kick out of building the wall since he's Hispanic and there's a decent chance his family has lived in America about 200 years longer than mine has.
If I can bring fun to my co-workers by restating the customer's idiotic comments I'll do it... It makes work way more fun when 5 people are listening to your call even if they can't hear it verbatim.

I flagged down the person who trained us and typed that this call was like listening to 10 years of Fox News in 30 minutes... she was over saying hello to all of us.  Her smile disappeared which is amazing since she is almost happy... I gave her the keyboard and she typed "I'm sorry."

It's a gaslighting campaign.  They've heard for about ten years solid, now, that all of the ills of this world come from foreigners and minorities.  Who likes foreigners?  Liberals who want to sell out america and make us weak.  Who likes minorities?  Liberals who bus them in from other countries and hand out green cards like candy to get votes.  That's the shiat they were told, that's the shiat they believe.  They've been successfully convinced, through gaslighting, to see their own fellow americans as mortal enemies.  It's a cult now, and the cult leaders are all russians.  They're being led by the nose and so blinded by raw pointless hatred that they'll never admit to themselves that they've been conned.   They can't.  It'd cost them too much.

The people who hate America are generally those that live in red strongholds.  They see that their town is a shiathole with no social mobility and imagine it to be someone else's fault.  I hope someone travels to these red strongholds and starts their stump speech with:

Wow!  This place is a real shiathole.  Did you ever stop to wonder why?

From the local news I saw on my way out to the smoking area a large part of the area was homes worth 3 million or more.
I don't live anywhere near there but I saw the local station saying that an entire street of multimillionaire homes got wiped out.
But since they're in a state that doesn't vote Russian Trump doesn't care.

It should stop.  That Federal Money gets redistributed to people that don't deserve it.  They've taken to not holding their own accountable for States taxes as subsisting entirely in that Federal dole.

Taxing from rich blue states to give to red states had created a state governments that don't want to work--they just want to sit on they're asses and let the world rot around them.

It's why Red States have shiathole economies for the most part.
