Didn''t the Vatican broadcast a message in approval of Pokemon''s theme of love, care, and companionship?

Is there anything that these religious groups DON''T take too seriously?

I, too, think pokemon is evil (much like teletubbies and barney), but for non-religious reasons.

Also, I was not aware that Star Wars and D&D were "gateways to the occult". I just thought they were gateways to being a geek.

"Another nine-year-boy had stolen money from his mother''s purse ($7.00) to buy more cards. When questioned, he confessed and said he had heard the devil urging him to do it."

Gee. That sounds NORMAL for a 9-year-old. He blamed something else (the devil) for his misdeed and was rewarded by the family.

So THAT''S how these people create more like themselves. SCARY!

a seductive vision: to become Pokemon masters
a tempting promise: supernatural power
a new objective: keep collecting Pokemon
an urgent command: "gotta catch them all"

A seductive vision: Go to heaven
A tempting promise: Everlasting life and glory through god
A new objective: covert all your friends
An urgent command: Love me or go to hell

>>What if children try to follow this advice? What if they carry their favorite monsters like magical charms or fetishes in their pockets, trusting them to bring power in times of need?
Let''s ask this guy if he ever had a lucky rabbit''s foot.

Killja - They''d rather carry around something more positive, like a little cross with a dead guy nailed to it.

Gooooood point EnemyFrank.

Mr.X-Ray: Yes collect all the saints and martyrs! Tap Jesus to have one sin forgiven. Uh-oh, here comes nasty Satan with his porn and Role Playing Games. Defeat him by hoarding dogma, ignorance and hypcroacy. Use these as well as long-winded essays with your opinions stated as fact and flimsy, smokey arguments against logic to convert your poor unenlightened neighbors and friends. When rapture comes, be sure youre on the boat! Play the Fundie game!!!

"No way! Holographic Jesus is a rare worth $25.00!!!"
