I went to '94. Even though it was nuts, I'd go again. (I also better start saving up now.)

So can we just firebomb all those Boomers from the sky as they collect in one place? It might free up some resources.

Which one? I went to the one in Bethel that went on as a free show. Ritchie Havens, Arlo Guthrie, Burning Spear, Mountain...it was a whole lot of fun.

Well, the article isn't well researched. The original Woodstock was never going to be held in Woodstock, Ulster County, NY. The original site was in Wallkill, Orange County, NY. The town of Wallkill didn't grant the permits, so they ended up in Bethel/White Lake, Sullivan County, NY.

Ah, the official one, though yours sounded very cool.

I took a blanket with me, and used it to protect myself from the rain. That day I learned there was a difference between "water resistant" and "waterproof".

If they keep the death toll less than two and plan for adequate food, it's an improvement on the original.

Eminem, Beyonce, and other bignames not worth seeing.

Considering how many of them got so butt-hurt over getting old they turned around and voted for Trump like a bunch of sell-out burn-out cowards? Works for me.

It would be helpful if they bothered to mention if it would be surviving original bands, (a Nostalgia show)a mix of old and new or. . .?

Harrison died in the 90's.

The just barely made me laugh, cause when looking at them I though "yes, but not much longer"

/also Rubber Soul was released in 65, so the picture, here, of Paul would have been replacement Paul who is still alive.

I went in '94, passed on '99 because by then the music scene had gone way south. Limp Bizkit? Really? Proud to say I always hated that farking band, even when they were popular.

I'm not going in 2019 to see some asshole press play on a laptop and over articulate a tone knob adjustment while pumping his fist.

I'll just sit in a lawn chair drinking JD and throwing rocks at kids.

Which is the direct opposite of Woodstock '99, where the Gen Xers who were there won't admit to going even at gunpoint.

Yeah, Woodstock has a history of being a exploitational cashgrab before the gates get crashed. I expect Woodstock 2019 to be a Fyre Festival like abomination with an even more unremarkable lineup.

At first I thought that Skrillex is equivalent of Jimi Hendrix (mid-range cack, etc) and /;12 different versions of Photograph" is reference to Dreadful Grate

I was under the impression from later reports and my own eye on the media at the time that the whole scene was somewhat "Weinstein-y" as a sausage-fest, Chester-the-Molester event. I'm curious as to how that would be any different now? Or did you see something better than that?

Tuvan throat singing slayed me, nice!

Why do some of you in here think it's going to be boomers going to this gig, just because they were at the original? Highly unlikely more than a handful will go, this is a younger person's game.
