That evidence includes passages in FBI documents stating the "sheer volume" of classified information that flowed through Clinton's insecure emails was proof of criminality as well as an admission of false statements by one key witness in the case, the investigators said.

Weird thing, since don't we already know the answer?  Out of 30,000+ emails...

In total, the investigation found 110 emails in 52 email chains containing information that was classified at the time it was sent or received. Eight chains contained top secret information, the highest level of classification, 36 chains contained secret information, and the remaining eight contained confidential information.

Hmm, so there's no indication that any of this supposed mountain of classified material got into the hands of bad guys, but this is still some kind of big deal...?

However, JUST ONE of Trump's thousands of misdeeds, high crimes, and misdemeanors - the time he met with Russian operatives in the actual Oval Office with only the Russian media present, in which he revealed classified information directly to those operatives - and....nothing?

/give me a farking break

" Republicans on key congressional committees say they have uncovered new irregularities and contradictions inside the FBI's probe of Hillary Clinton's email server. "

So this is not part of any House Committee investigation. This is just the Republicans heading those Russia investigations getting together on their own, swapping committee information, and trying to put a "see the FBI is corrupt" spin on it for President Dick Theysuck.

A well-crafted hit piece on the FBI written by a pro-Trump journalist (John Solomon is by appearances an objective reporter and editor who nonetheless found himself employeed at a Sinclair Broadcasting outfit writing articles favorable to Trump). The language was seemingly free from slant, but purposefully only proffered the republican narrative without questioning motive or partisan drive. It mentioned "the panel" only in passing, without detailing what it actually is... a partisan only subgroup attempting to discredit the FBI as a defense for the President.

I'm willing to open up an investigation about these emails (again) if we can finally have an open and full-blown investigation of the run-up to the Iraq War.

Clinton isn't president. She's never going to be president. She's never even going to run for political office again.

And you know who's bothered the most by this? Republicans.

Pretty funny, subby, when the "news" in the article is, in and of itself, deflection.

They will just find more strawmen to unite the rubes.
Whether it's liberals, gays, blacks, Muslims, Mexicans, transgender people, whatever, they will just keep going and blaming somebody for the problems they create, so the rubes will keep supporting them.

Yes, it's still some kind of big deal.  The mishandling of classified material is a serious crime.  It doesn't matter if the bad guys get their hands on it or not.

If I ever get in trouble with the law, I'd love to have them say the same thing; "Sure, he broke the law, but he didn't really mean it!"

It's a good thing Clinton didn't win, because then it's possible she could have left classified secret information vulnerable to our enemies hacking into private servers, like Jared and Ivanka were doing, and now that Trump is president, the Russians don't need to hack, they just butter him up and he tells them classified top secret information.

A lawyer could probably explain this better, but intent or knowledge of wrongdoing is a requisite for criminal charges. e.g. If you're driving, randomly have a heart attack, run off the road and hurt or kill somebody, it's NBD

That, however, does not precede, or use resources, derail, delay, deffer, extinguish, or exonerate the Mueller special counsel investigation into all things GOP/trumpee and Russia.

That's not always true. Only some of our laws are intent driven. For instance, the 7 things they could charge you with for killing someonefrom 1st degree murder to involuntary manslaughter... as opposed to say grand theft. There's no Grand Theft with intent to Robin Hood the spoils, or Grand Theft accidentally drive out of a dealership with a car or Grand Theft but I was really hungry, in fact most of those are based on how you commit the crime and the dollar value you stole. Larceny vs Burglary vs Laundering vs Fraud... The judge or jury might give you more time or less time or a bigger fine based on why you did what you did after being found guilty, but the act is still the same charge for a lot of crimes, murder is an exception.

If I had mishandled classified information while I was still in the army to the degree Clinton did, you can bet I would have earned a dishonorable discharge. If I had been in any way embroiled in the kind of nonsese with Russia that Trump's cronies have been charged with, I would have been Chelsea Manning's new bunkmate.

Which one of these idiots still holds public office? Oh yeah.

You're suggesting this author is part of a wide-ranging disinformation campaign, it sounds like. Interesting idea, possibly correct but needs more evidence.

Intent is a big part of the  law.
If some one attacks me and I respond by hitting them with the baseball bat and they die. No charges
If go to someone's home and hit them with a baseball bat, that is then 1st degree murder.
Same actions different intent therefore one is a crime and the other is .
I buy a car from a man that appears to have all the proper paperwork in a up and up neighborhood. No charges
I go to a sketchy garage and the man sells me a car with no paper work for a third of its actual value. Charged with receiving stolen goods.
Considering, a dozen other government officials had their own servers, it would be pointless to charge Clinton with anything.
