Not by much, it hasn't.  And yeah, half the list is just a question of the cheapest way to get completely wasted.

Type of vodka really doesn't matter when you're putting a bunch of orange juice or 7UP in it. I can't stomach Black Velvet, though.

Also, it was -16F this morning in Mason City, and my truck barely started. What else is there to do other than get wasted?

Takes too long to pass out drinking beer.  My preferred method was generally a 50/50 mixture of cheap vodka and Dr Pepper.

When I was at the U of I, we drank "Tortilla Tequila." It was $5 for a fifth and came in a squeeze bottle with a helpful recipe for "straight tequila" on the side.

That shiat would peel paint.

Nah, smart farmers pour it into the crankcase of their tractor.
It helps the viscosity of the lubricant in the winter.

was hanging with the common clay over the holidays, in love with their "Fireball Whiskey".

Got him some Maker's Mark.  He couldn't handle it.

Vanilla extract was #6 this year, so things are improving.

However, I'll bet a few bucks it's just as bad crap.

I'm surprised there's no Georgia Moon on there.

The water source is important with good Bourbon. Might have to check that out.

Dude, the folks that are drinking that dreck don't care about single malt, peaty or not, what part of the Highlands it comes from, etc., they just want to get ripped.

Texas.  We're Tito's on the vodak for some damn reason...I'm guessing that's what in bars?  Crown and goddamn Jameson on the whiskey and Patron on Tequila which is probably in the top 5.

What can I expect or should I just be surprised?  Where is it on a scale from Glenfiddich to Lagavulin?

Gordon's Dry Gin. I drink too get drink, not for bragging rights for my drink.

I personally never liked Glenfiddich or Ardbeg...Glenmorangie is no Oban, but it's a good single malt

I've never heard of the odd- numbered items on that list. And #4 is gross.

I refuse to discuss Mrs Facts' enthusiasm for the second on the list. <sigh>

It seems unlikely that more people are drinking Patron at $50 a bottle than they are Cuervo Gold at $13 a bottle.

TFA is just a recipe for jungle juice.

I worked retail liquor long enough to know that some people will just drink any old swill--regardless of income.  And there's stuff for sale I wouldn't use to clean car parts.

Well, I *was* going to come in here to say how subby's headline is condescending and elitist but figured I would check the article first.

Nope.  Headline looks pretty good from where I am sitting.
