This just in: Megyn Kelly is a clueless fool, exploited by her employers.

Perhaps, when she opens her eyes and realizes that Fox courted bigots as their audience, she'll also discover that she was complicit and do the right thing - leave the profession entirely and quietly retire.

She's not nearly smart enough to have this epiphany.

NBC needs to unload Kelly as soon as possible. She is political poison (and poison in general) outside the realm of Fox News. I watched her this morning, and you can see the contempt on the faces of every Today show co-host. She is a shrewd, callous political commentator and she will never shake that image. She is no different from Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity (minus the sexual assault allegations of course).

Yep.    Get a clue and start making amends.   History won't be kind to you.

How about the coded or otherwise racist things she herself used to say?  Any thoughts on that, Megyn?!

2018-01-02 12:24:18 PM
I know lots of people with racist views. They would disagree.

They were raised to hold them and they know that those views, flowing from their loving parents and trusted friends, are right and good. They don't know the farking difference.

Ten years from now the only media job Megyn Kelly will be able to get is that of weather bunny or local news reporter. I'm looking forward to that day. Every small failure of hers from here until her end will be a joy to watch. An absolute joy. She represents everything truly awful about what Fox News is and has always been -- people intelligent enough to know better, and do in fact know better, who willingly spread virulent toxicity in exchange for money and fame. She deserves nothing further in life but ignominious failure and misery.

If I owned NBC Universal, I'd fire the person or people that decided to hire her in the first place.

That Fox News stink never comes off.

F*ck NBC for keeping that asshole on the air. They've already f*cked their evening slots with a shiatfest of programming. There's no reason for me to watch them anymore.

That seems needlessly generous to Ms. Kelly, that she was an unwitting participant.  I find it difficult to believe that I, a rare-if-ever FNN viewer knows more about their race-baiting, coded messaging than one of their former star anchors.

Most of the racists I know would disagree. Most racists these days seem to be so ignorant, they don't even understand what racism is. They just think that white folks are getting a raw deal because of those minorities. . . But that doesn't make them racist or anything!

I believe the standard is "have you personally participated in a lynching".

If the answer is no you can't possibly be racist.

My relatives:

A) Racism is bad.
B) People who are racist are bad people.
C) I'm a good Christian, therefore I'm not a bad person.
D) Therefore I'm not racist.
E) Look, if I say black people smell funny, it's not racist, it's just the truth.  You're just being overly PC.

Exactly.  They don't know what racism is except that it is considered to be "bad," and since they are "good" people they can't possibly be racist.

The fashion was to hack with your sword while singing "I'm a goooood Christian so I'm not a bad person". Then stab a couple of times while singing "Doo-dah  Doo-dah".  D.C. al Coda.

Bullshiat, she knew what she was doing from the get-go and loved the money.

But then she got too old for Fox News and she wants to be white Oprah and trying to soften her message.

Fark her.

gar1013: So anything that criticizes the left can now be labeled a dog whistle?

Actually, they were the ones using the term 'dog whistle'.

During an interview with former white supremacist Christian Picciolini, Kelly asked if Trump had sent any "dog whistles" to the white supremacist community.
"I do believe that there were dog whistles," Picciolini revealed. "But to somebody like me, I can tell you that's a bullhorn. I heard them loud and clear. When they referred to globalism, I knew that they were talking about the global Jewish conspiracy. When they use terms like 'the liberal media,' those are terms we use to use but we use to call it the Jewish media."

But I suspect you didn't or couldn't read the article. I just want you to know, I support expanding funding to better tackle adult illiteracy.

Don't fool yourself. Everyone at Fox News knows exactly what they're doing.

It's easily the smartest news channel on TV, utterly evil and depraved, but brilliant in its depravity.

Boo hoo Megyn Kelly. Dances with sleazeballs for years on Fox, actively promotes their brand of sleaze, helps create the divided America we have today... now thinks it's all better and we all just can accept her and move on. Get effed.

You profited off of sleaze, you made sleaze, you helped destroy America you foul rotten creature. You will never be accepted as anything but sleaze outside of your sleaze vat with all your sleaze partners.

Well, she is managing to  get paid ~3x more than people (Lester Holt, Rachel Maddow) who actually attract audiences on [MS]NBC, so I'm not sure I'd call her totally clueless or a fool.  But attention whore, yes, and she should still be fired because she's an awful journalist.

I wouldn't be surprised if in a couple of months people talking about investigating Trump becomes some sort of secret racist dog whistle.

She was fine with helping try to take down Barack and Michelle Obama for 8 years. She might have *personally* had a stake in Ailes and O'Reilly, but ... her karma debt is hardly paid for society at large.

You've got to be taught from year to year
It's got to be drummed in your dear little ear

I think racists see their attitudes as rational.  100% of the people who highjacked the plane on 9-11 where Muslim so of course Muslims should receive extra scrutiny.  Large cities are filled with people of African American decent and there is a lot of crime in the large cities so it is rational to see the two as related.

2018-01-02 01:12:58 PM
Did she perhaps miss the six or seven years that her entire network pushed the birther conspiracy?

Fox News didn't use dogwhistles.  They ran racism through Dolby Surround Sound and subwoofers.

2018-01-02 01:14:15 PM
Be it with regards to race, class, education and political ideology, Megyn built her career sowing division and animosity --oftentimes at the expense of honesty or decency.  She worked to tear this country apart solely for the benefit of her network's sponsors.

She should be living in an alley, covered in her own filth and eating whatever she can scrape out of some Park Ave. spinster's tossed away cat food cans.

She's not stupid, but she's trying to play that she is. She knows damn well what dog whistles are and that she used them regularly on Fox News. She used them with purpose. She's hoping the rest of us really are stupid and fall for it, though.

Now dogwhistles are just "safe" ways to talk about your ideology while maintaining a thin veneer of plausible deniability. "I'm obviously talking about the separation of powers in the Constitution, and while I agree with the goals of the Voting Rights Act, I think that it crosses the line and isn't constitutional. ... what? No... that's not a very nice thing to say. Why are you bringing racism into this?"

"Religious Freedom" basically means oppressing gays and minorities now, too.
