What, exactly has he done to increase commercial aviation?  Because that's an odd thing to take credit for.

His Shekinah Glory has covered the USA and removed the dangers of air travel.

Let's see, who is in charge at the FAA?

His term expires next week. Wonder how long it will take Donald to name a replacement? Not sure if he can be renominated.

Look these are big planes, okay?  COMMERCIAL planes.  Some of them go really far.  He said "You guys, you got to get your shiat together" and they did.

I wonder what the CEO of ValuJet is doing these days.

My father would womanize, he would drink, he would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Some times he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy, the sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament.

CEO of Allegiant, apparently.

So if a plane goes down in 2018 it's his fault...right???

They're surrounded by air.  Who knew it would be so difficult?

Yes.

If by "his" you mean Obama's, that is.

If you assume that he's sane, rational, and in a leadership position, yes, it'd be an odd thing for which to claim credit.

If you assume that he's a desperately insecure narcissist propped up by others as both shield and distraction while they pillage this country, then, no, it's not odd at all to see that Trump has claimed credit for a statistic in which he's had zero involvement.

When the next Arctic blast hits on Thursday, I'm betting Trump's going to claim credit for the record lows as a victory over global warming

It's almost as if the president is a petulant egomaniac.

No, that couldn't be it.  We're smarter than to allow that of our leadership.

Yeah the people who support Trump on my Facebook are all the ones who post 'when I was a kid my parents whipped me and I turned out great, if only parents would beat their kids they would be good people like me'

Even the one's with a history of arrests and substance abuse think they are better citizens than these whiny Millennials and they all owe it to their parents raising them right.

Since taking office, an Amtrak train derailed. Waiting for Trump to take personal responsibility in 3...2...1. Ok let's try this again. 3...2...1. Ok third times a charm. Trump to take responsibility for Amtrak derailment in 3...2...1.

I Corinthians 13:

1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

Much like the economy, Trump deserves credit for not destroying this tread that has been occurring for years before he took office. Really, because he definitely could have destroyed this tread if he thought Obama cared about planes or something.

Since taking office no American was killed by falling space debris. You're welcome!

Perhaps my Google-fu skills are off. I cannot find any instances of Trump speeches mentioning commercial air safety. I know he wanted to privatize air traffic control, but that initiative stalled in congress.

Really autocorrect? Do I really say "tread" more than "trend?"

2018-01-02 10:57:47 AM
So I guess that means we can just deregulate the hell out of it then.

Hey farkass

I work for the airline industry- explicitly the interiors of aircrafts that the public deals with, touches, sees, interacts with, and that WE have to verify through Boeing and the FAA to make sure that their sweet melon heads don't explode on the seat in front of them, the bulkhead, or the furniture.

If youre going to take credit for me/ my peers'/ my company's work, you better learn CAD or how to run a 16G test.

fark outta here with that shiat.

That's a very specific power. It's too bad he can't be bothered to use it on Nazi marches.

Hey at least he's not farking the head of the airline regulation committee owned by all the airlines and trying to pass legislation so they have even greater control over their regulations.

This is his way of getting back at CNN.

2018-01-02 11:03:22 AM
Taking credit for airplane safety? Surely you're kidding.

2018-01-02 11:03:30 AM
Wow... So much here.

From an earlier viewing of this dumbass Tweet, someone pointed out that the "streak" goes all of the way back to 2009.

Trump is the motherfarker deregulating everything in sight, how can something that requires regulation being safe be his accomplishment at all?

What has he possibly done in regards to airline safety at all?

There's more, but I can't think of it. Really, instead of the Tweet, we need a good PolitiFact breakdown on this one.

Usually stuff like "I pooped my diaper!!".

My point still stands. #noregrets

This is vaguely like when I take credit for cleaning up cat puke from the rug when actually the dog ate it.

Of course, my wife isn't stupid enough to believe me. Especially when she watched the dog eat the cat puke.

The industry is to scared of Trump punishing them that they agreed not to kill anyone this year.

/ the most logical reasoning I can think of

Did you open the door so the dog could go outside and eliminate the remainder of the cat puke?
