We have DTV Now, used it on two TV's, had no issues at all. Sorry for those who did and missed one hell of an ending.

Go Dawgs!!!

I had the games playing on my computer and sort of looked at it as I walked by.

My love of football is going away.  Ugh.

Glad Alabama lost.

Omg, I can't believe I typed that.

I used Slingtv and everything has worked fine this bowl season

The Watch ESPN app yesterday was absolutely atrocious, two or three seconds of the game and then ten to twenty seconds of buffering. Thankfully though, their commercials worked just fine.

I don't understand companies like ESPN who shiat on their customers, it is like they actually want me to cut the service and watch an illegal stream for free that doesn't have lag. I don't get on Twitter for much of anything and even though I realize nobody who cares or matters at ESPN will ever read it I gave them an earful which I'm positive will cause the intern reading it to change the world for the better.

That was the best rose bowl on history only to those who also think the NBA all star game is the best basketball game of the year.

THIS.

The best Rose Bowl in history is still '06.  Because it was actually the Rose Bowl and not a playoff game held at that stadium between two teams who have no historic connection to that name.  Also because they played defense.

The ESPN App was unwatchable for every game I tried this week. I ended up stream the OSU/USC game from BT Sports. Got to see some new commercials at least.

This is what got me about the whole thing.  Any other time of the day, my 50MBPS connection streams everything including the ESPN app on my Roku3 in clear HD with no buffering.  Youtube, Netflix - you name it is great.  Even the ESPN app when I'm watching rugby or replays of other sports is great and always HD.

Last night, the normal ESPN broadcast and the multi-cam ESPN2 broadcast were low quality, constantly buffering, and skipping.  BUT --- they made damn sure every commercial was in clear HD the entire night.

The stream I ended up using for most of the game was the UGA Hometown Radio Broadcast - video quality was still only occasionally in HD but at least did not skip.  I'll have to watch it again on this stream since they aren't even broadcasting the game on ABC.

Same problem. The Bowl thread from this weekend has many complaints in it.

I have a 200Mb connection and it was still choppy. Ads are served from a different place, which is why they come through and why the player needs ad-blockers turned off to work right.

The real Rose Bowl was played in Dallas, and was temporarily renamed the Cotton Bowl.

ESPN stream was very wonky.  I gave up streaming it in the office so I could Fark at the same time, and just gave in to conventional wisdom and watched it on the 65" on Direct TV in the living room.  Fixed that problem to day and got an IR extender and got Direct TV into the office in time for the NFL play off shenanigans. The gf, she loves me dearly but cares little for Football.  I forgive her, she makes up for it in other ways.

Top 3 by my count.  Feel bad for Bake Mayfield, he will hate it in Cleveland and become Johnny Football II Electric Boogalo.

Texas was in the Big Ten?

Oh, you mean a school that had one previous Rose Bowl game, the year prior? Oklahoma played there in 2003, Georgia played and won in 1943. OU and UGA both have Rose Bowl trophies in their case.

And 41-38 is quite a defensive struggle.

While there was not the historical connection with Texas, that game mattered, this one did not.
