(Wikipedia)   At last I am watching "The Room" with Tommy Wiseau & Rifftrax to take the edge off. Everything I heard about it is confirmed. To quote Bill the Cat: Ack Ack Ack Ack Ack Ack Ack Someday I may look back on this and cough up a furball   ( en.wikipedia.org) divider line

Enjoy Rifftrax's take on "The Sword and the Sorceror" afterwards, as a palate cleanser.

And, of course, "This is Hormel," one of the few shorts that, no matter how many times I've seen it, I've yet to tire of it.

Birdemic really makes you appreciate the fact that Hitchcock hired a bird wrangler and used real birds.

By the way, did you know that the movie was inspired by real birds? Charles Hoy Fort would have approved.

Good thing he lucked out and became the director and the producer. I wonder if his uncle owns the studio.

The difference between The Room and Birdemic was one was an amateur film made for $10k without the proper permits by a film student after getting high and watching "An Inconvenient Truth" and "The Birds", while the other was "The Room".

The short we love is the Campbell's Soup infomercial.  We lose it every time it gets to the soup cake suggestion

I'm partial to the Batman serials starring Gabe.

One of my faves, as well. "Who says you can't repurpose the dog's kack?" I'm also fond of "Shake Hands with Danger."

I'll second 'This is Hormel,' but I also love 'Paper and I' just for Bill's voicing of the paper bag. ("Not a chance, Willie!") But Bridget and Mary Jo have some great ones too -- Campbell's soup, 'Phoebe,' and 'The Snob,' to name a few. I look forward to more from them (shorts and feature-length films).

I have to put this on my weird shiat list.

Fortunately it's the only list I have, so it's simple.

My sons want to see The Room in theaters in a week, so I'll get to see this for the first time. Just going to the boring old Fandango event in a plain old theater, not the midnight showing at the Oriental, unfortunately.

In other news, Tommy Wiseau knows a little bit of HTML

James Franco was on Marc Maron a few weeks back....towards the end of the podcast, they have an extended talk about "The Room", including Franco telling some stories of meeting and working with Wiseau to prepare for his movie about the movie.

i'd like to see the movie but it only has like, a midnight showing in Scottsdale and i don't want to see it that badly.   it isn't far per se but it is kinda inconvenient.

Didn't make it all the way through when I watched it, but the actors often seen unaware of other people in the scenes. It comes off like a lot of people reciting their lines to themselves in the same space instead of people interacting.
