This. I love stories like this. It's a fun way to do good for no good reason. And yet good is still being done.

Bills Mafia isn't just about being thrown through tables. One of the founders also has a charity called 26 Shirts which raises money for local (mostly) cancer patients.

I wish Dalton and the Bills were as good at football as they are classy.

4-12 on playoff teams (Pats, Steelers, Titans, Falcons)
2-8 on Division winners (Pats, Steelers)
0-4 on wildcards

I think they were closest on the Colts & Dolphins. That 16-0 Pats record was the dumbest prediction I've ever seen.

Bills, Lions and Browns fans are some of the nicest people I've ever met.  I moved out of Buffalo when I was 21, but the Pegulas definitely have made my love for the Sabres a lot easier, and now I'm a bandwagon Bills fan (because Spanos can go fark himself, I don't root for LA teams.)

I'm not going to get up at 10 am to watch the Bills, and I don't deserve to be called a fan, but I do have a real soft spot for you guys.  I got enough tickets from my aunt and uncle to see some of the highlights.

I got to go to the Comeback 1/3/93 (my dad got tickets as last second Christmas gifts for my brother and I), The game against the Dolphins 12/30/95 was the last Bills game I went to.  Still, great fans.

I dunno...if they had Edelman (he got injured in the preseason) I think he could have got them three more wins. They were never able to truly replace his role. Amendola got a few underneath as did Cooks, but there wasn't a dependable receiver that you could power it into to get those 3rd down conversions. Aside from the KC game, 3rd down conversions did them in. As for KC they probably would have had a good lead before the 4th quarter and KC wouldn't have been able to run away with the game.

I mean, obviously if he was playing a whole lot of other things would have happened differently including possible injuries to other players because they were running different routes or whatever.

But you know me, I think highly of the Patriots so it could just be my homerism showing.

16-0 required a lot of luck towards the end of that season to achieve though, the '11 Packers and '15 Panthers both went 15-1 and almost did it but both had bad games. Dunno, it's definitely possible but it's a roll of the dice kind of thing even without injuries which the Pats had a lot of this year.

OH FFS,  The guy had multiple SUB 100 yard passing games this year.  We weren't supposed to make the playoffs,  May as well throw in the new guy and see how he does.  I mean it was a disaster but that wasn't the reason we almost missed the playoffs.  We almost missed the playoffs because we lost to the Bengals and the Jets.  And the game where we held Car to 9 points but only scored 3.  Those are much bigger reasons for almost missing the playoffs.

In 2007 they were rolling opponents for the first half of the season. Then they got to the Colts, Ravens and maybe the Chargers...I could look it up, but I'm not going to right now. Then the games became much more dicey. And of course the last game of the year that meant nothing for either team as far as seeding went...the Giants and Pats had an epic battle. Funny thing is when you look at the score of that game vs the score of the SB game you'd never know it was the same two teams.

That year, the Pats faced a bunch of playoff teams.

The thinking this year was that none of the teams were as good as the teams from that year so it would have been slightly easier.

Losing to the Chargers didn't help, and if the Ravens had won we would have needed the Titans AND the Chargers to lose because of it. If he was an experiment he needed to be pulled after the second pick.

Anyway, that's in the past.

One last thing. Of the people TT was working with receiver wise, he had 3 guys from the previous year: Tate, Shady and Clay. That's it. Lost Woods and Watkins who went on to have good years this year, proving they weren't bad. Chemistry and familiarity with the playbook takes time. TT lead a team that got us to the playoffs - regardless of the help they needed to get there. He also won, virtually by himself, several games this year when it was needed. He also barely turns it over. That's all I got.

Night all!

VTGremlin: Remember when the Bills were "over" Tyrod, and figured they may as well jump-start the Nathan Peterman era? Lul.

Couple things about that:

•The Bills are still very likely looking to move to the post-Tyrod era.  He does some things well, but he's also a deeply flawed QB and he's far enough along in his career that he's not going to fundamentally change or improve.  What he is is what he is.  Improving from 8-8 to 9-7 is great and it's awesome that the tiebreakers went their way for once, but I think that the Bills are hoping to get a caliber of QB who can finally lift them above that middling area of the standings where they have been the entire Tyrod era.  And with so many high picks in this year's Draft, it has been a near-certainty that they will try to draft or deal for a potential franchise QB - earning a Wild Card this year doesn't really change that.

•Starting Peterman over Tyrod in the Chargers game likely didn't change the outcome of that game.  Did you see the Bills' defense in that game?  Or the offensive line?  Hot garbage.  I don't care if they had Brady as QB, they wouldn't have won that game with a defense that stopped nothing and an o-line that provided zero protection.

As a former Ravens fan who always thought Flacco was overrated, I'm really happy for the Bills, especially since it was Tyrod under center for the victory and Flacco with the playoff enabling loss.

Local (out of region) Bills fans already strutting around the office.... Had to remind them that they are in because 2 other teams won, there was a supermoon, the cows were lying down in the fields, and Venus was in retrograde.

But yea, donating to the Dalton fund is pretty classy.

Disagree with you here. The defense was ineffective because Peterman turned the ball over 5 times. That's going to exhaust any defense.

OL is garbage, which is EXACTLY why we need TT.

Personally I'd rather see the Bills use draft picks on the OL, DL and WR/RB positions this year. But that is for discussion in the off-season.

It was a pretty epic choke, nobody had a higher predicted chance of winning and getting in than the Ravens at the start of the day.

I only started pillowing football around 1995.

And as pessimistic as I am, I am really happy the bills made the playoffs. Anything else is just gravy.
