"Like rock and roll? Then you're sure to enjoy discussing books about the history of small towns in the British countryside!"

Lame.
Make the kid get a real job.
There is no reason he should be riding his father's corpse to make money off of.

/He directed 2 of the better sci-fi movies of the last 10 years or so.
//And also Warcraft but I'm sure they parked a big truck of money in his driveway for that so I'm not going to hold it against him.

Moon was amazing. It's still one of my favorite sci-fi movies. It's one of those rare ones where knowing the twist doesn't make it lose anything on the second viewing.

Plus from everything I've seen and read, he seems like a really cool, smart dude.

Would you like to be the child of a departed nearly universally loved pop star? Probably not easy.

Bowie and I could have talked books, there's such a Venn diagram of our shelves there, including, for me, some surprises, given that Julian Jaynes, Levi, Mishima and Burgess are a pretty eclectic mix.

Bowie had good taste in books.

Not in art.

Oh God, he had awful taste in art.

He made bank when Bowie died because he'd bought the rights to under pressure after losing the case.

Never read anything by Peter Ackroyd but Hawksmoor sounds interesting. I might pick it up.

Bowie only had like 5 good songs
He was only popular because of his costumes and persona

Why the hell would they pay out for a relative unknown with two movies under his belt?

Oh how I would love to find out that Bowie enjoyed Danielle Steele and Dan Brown more than any other authors.

There are plenty more of his songs that still get all kinds of radio play, there are several more. Off the top of my head, here's a list of what I hear every now and then:

Ziggy Stardust
Space Oddity
Let's Dance
The Man Who Sold The World
China Girl
Suffragette City
Fame
Panic In Detroit

It's an online book club. How much money do you think he's going to make off an online book club discussing books David Bowie liked? If it's anything, it's probably peanuts compared to whatever money he already had.
