Blew my little savage Oklahoma boy brain when I watched Robotech for the first time.

I went from hunting random creatures in the woods to building robots with my cousins.  Too bad we were poor and had zero family or public support.  Maybe one of us would have went into the field, alas I was the only one who went to college and much like gunter from futurama I went to business school to try and stop being homeless.

Ever wonder why the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers were so popular in the 1990's? It's because Voltron was kicking ass in the 80's!!

It's funny how TMNT is now thought of as goofy and silly (with reason), when it was originally a parody of some grimdark comics.

If you read early-80s Daredevil, and Ronin by Frank Miller, TMNT was pretty much on the mark.

2017-12-28 06:25:30 PM
TMNT is way, way down on the list.

30 years ago... Well that couldn't be Transformers, Robotech, or Voltron, so that's already fail.  But hey, let's see what we've got *clicks link*

... Nope

To correct any misconception, the greatest cartoon of 1987 was in fact this:

I'm pretty sure I'm not making this up...but I swear roughly around this time or a little later there was an organized crime/ cop drama cartoon. Kinda supposed to be set in a 50s art-deco style new York in the near future (90s?) A la Gotham city .

Anybody wanna tell me I'm not crazy? Please?
