TFABut worth noting is Hamilton simply has to make an offer to Manziel and if it's rejected, he'd remain on the Ticats' negotiation list for another year.

So offer him some poutine and a bottle of maple syrup and call it good?

I'm all for second chances and I wish him luck, but I don't see a guy who has been out of football for three years being able to compete up here. CFL football is very good football and most guys who come up here with the mindset that they're gonna light up the league and be back in the NFL in a few months flame out hard.

You trying to tell me he didn't bother to keep a perfect training regimen going all this time?

Whatever it takes to get Letterkenny on in the USA I'm all for. Not sure how this will help that, but it wouldn't hurt!

Are the Hamilton Tiger-Cats attempting to be the Cleveland Browns of the CFL, but with a better win record?

I figure he's been keeping the same high intensity training regimen that he used while in the NFL.

Tebow.  3 downs and a narrower feild alone would make him useless.

Hamilton is a white trash city, lots of pills and powders to have fun with, I'm sure he'll do well there... As far as his football performance goes not so well.

I could hardly wait for that jackass to flame out of the NFL.  (I called it a certainty)   I hope he gets a chance in the CFL so he can flame out there too.

He's the kind of guy that we're going to read about being arrested for getting in bar fights and selling drugs in 20 years.

I haven't seen anything too recent, and can't be assed to go looking, but the last post-football image I saw of Johnny farkup looked like he'd done a reverse Jawalrus, with drinking and doping instead of eating having rendered his physique even more spindly.

He technically doesn't have a record. The whole thing got thrown out at the end.

Perfect place for him.  We should take up a collection to pay them to keep him away from the NFL.  He merely serves as a sideshow for any NFL team that takes him.

FTFA, learned that June Jones is now the coach of the Hamilton Tiger Cats.  I couldn't fathom leaving there, where he was The Man, to go to SMU.  I called it a bad decision at the time and sure enough he eventually attempted to return in 2016.  Should have stayed there in Hawaii, you only live once.

He didn't have a good enough arm for the NFL, and now he's going to a passing league with a bigger field? Oh momma!

Honestly, had he stayed in Hawaii they'd have idolized him before he retired.

Bobby and Peter Brady would've eventually found the idol while on vacation and have gotten into all kinds of hijinks but that's not important.

If he's going to Hamilton, he's picked the right town.

But the defensive ends tend to be smaller, so the over/under on how long it takes to break his collar bone went up.

So it's kind of a tie.

Remember, the door swings both ways. And between Trumpy bear and pretty boy Justin, I think your door up north may be far more open. With a much larger population, there are far more irritants we can send back your way. How many more irritating people could there be in Canada? How many more in the U.S.? I don't see you winning this one if we don't want you to. Johnny Football could be just the beginning if you really want to do this.

Cowboys actually could have drafted Manziel and the end result would have been the same.
