Sure, the team is stacked, but Pop is a really great coach.

I rarely watch NBA games but read some sports articles, and even I'm not surprised, subby.

So, no reason to watch until the Finals, then. Thanks for the timesaving tip, NBA.

The one loss?  To the improving Denver Nuggets.

And the Rockets without Chris Paul have lost 3 in a row. [Sigh] A regression to the mean I suppose.

Warriors fan here.  I never REALLY knew how good Kevin Durant was until this recent stretch without Curry.  During last year's Finals and regular season I always explained to myself how well he was playing by figuring it had to do with the spacing Curry created.  When he was with the Thu der, i thought the same thing had occured with Westbrook.   Basically, I was in denial.  Now, watching him the last couple of weeks, I can see what everyone's been talking about for the last decade.  THE GUY IS GOOD.

I think everyone but the Trail Blazer's Front Office knew that he'd be really, really good.

If you dont enjoy watching basketball enough to watch it during the regular season, why watch the playoffs?

I enjoy watching competitive basketball. Have the NBA send us all a tune-in alert when that starts.

define "competitive" because your weasel words make it sound like a criticism that could be leveled at literally any sport with playoffs

Good thing that scrub Durant stepped his game up.

Count me in with the people who are not going to watch 82 freaking games before the 2 month long playoffs begin because only about 2 to 5 teams have any shot in hell of making the finals.

Warriors fans won't like to hear it, probably but its Durant's team now.   He beat the Cavs in the Finals.

Curry's numbers looked decent, but were completely non-factor stats regarding who won or lost the game.

Due to the holidays where family gets together in Los Angeles, we went to Staples to watch the Lakers Grizzlies play last night. Kept wishing a Kings game broke out.

Steph Curry has always been overrated and will continue to be overrated.

The offense has always been there. With Curry out, he's putting up more shots. When Curry plays, he shoots less. The difference this year is his defense. Something he wasn't asked to do in OKC. Currently second in blocks and definitely in the conversation for DPOY. I especially enjoyed this block last night.

If you can't find a competitive NBA game, it's because you're not looking for one.  If all you want to do is watch the best three or four teams play against each other, that's fine but, it's still no guarantee of a competitive game when they meet.  There are good games to watch every week.

The Warriors were in a "slump" when Durant got injured last year. Curry stepped up and  put them back in the pole position for the number one seed. In a way, either are able to shine brighter without the other star on the floor -especially during the regular season. When either is able to have the offense go through them and not defer to the other star, they get the space to play better. Klay, Iggy, Shawn, Green, and the rest can work with either weapon. Having both during the post season has been brutal on the opposition.

I'm just looking for an outcome in doubt. Cleveland and GS are kicking ass again so...Cavs-Warriors IV. Maybe Houston if GS trips over their dicks, which is what I'm kind of hoping for. Until then, meh. YMMV.

They were winning without CP before... as a casual observer my impression is that Clint Capela is a bigger loss.

You are right about that Harden can do everything Paul does at least as well. Not sure there is a player in the NBA who can do what Capela does let alone another Rocket. He is a beast on D and surprisingly good at what He is asked to do on the offensive end.

Yo NBA losers, I made this chart, so you can see what a COMPETITIVE LEAGUE where EVERYONE ACTUALLY HAS A CHANCE TO WIN looks like.

You're probably so furious right now, that's why I'm going to post it, every single time someone says the NBA is not competitive, to rub salt in your open wounds, lol.

Must be really nice for Steph Curry to know that he doesn't have to rush back from an injury.

And the Bulls are 9-2 since Mirotic returned, losing at Cavs and Celtics, so why didn't someone punch him in the face two years ago?
