I have actually met that guy. Ate crawfish once with him at a Rotary Club meeting many years back.
I married a sweet Morgan City girl. The Shrimp and Petroleum Festival takes place every Labor day weekend and is a fun way "to pass a good time".
You can buy really large, fresh shrimp right off the boats there for about $3 per pound...gorgeous fresh-caught 'shrimps'.
He's a Trumper.
He's going to lose this case.
Also, skrimps.

That's a Morgan City statement if I ever heard one.

If you're suing over this, I'd face assault charges just to make you understand what it's like when an actual bad thing happens to you, vs having to watch a person kneel

No they shouldn't.  Legal counsel for the Saints probably runs a couple grand per hour.  The team should play this out as long as they can before their attorneys crush this idiot.  Rack up as many billable hours as you can.  Turn around and countersue him for attorney fees and bankrupt him.  Then he can't buy tickets anymore and he's punished for being a giant moron.

The New Orleans Advocate reports that Dragna filed a lawsuit in Louisiana's 24th Judicial District Court on Monday, demanding a refund for his tickets plus legal fees, claiming the protesting players have prevented he and his family from enjoying the games.

If that was the standard every Browns fan would be a billionaire.

TFA: "Apparently, these players were following the lead of [former 49ers quarterback] Colin Kaepernick by disrespecting the flag, the anthem, the USA and those who have served and are serving the USA in our military."

As a 'have served" military member, now retired, fark off Mr. Dragna.

He'll get the same treatment that Jets fans got when they tried to sue for compensation after the whole Spygate thing saying they bought a ticket with the expectation they were watching a fair game, and since the game wasn't fair they should be reimbursed.

Basically, the ruling was a ticket guaranteed the right to enter the stadium, sit in an assigned seat, and watch an NFL game.  If all three things happened, you get nothing ... good day sir.  There's no guarantee the NFL game isn't rigged or that the pre-game/half-time show doesn't hurt your feelings.

Did you sit in a stadium seat and watch an NFL game?  Yes?  Good!  You got what you paid for.  Go fark yourself.

Yet another moron who doesn't understand the meaning of the protests, and the fact that the military serves to ensure we retain the right to protest.

This is the result of false patriotism lurching around this country like the thing from the black lagoon. Well, that, unregulated capilitalism and cancerous entitlement.

That's why you bring a jar of moths in with you. If you don't like the movie just let the moths loose. They'll swarm the projector, blurring the movie and allowing you to collect your refund. I saw it in a documentary about Canada, apparently they're pretty sneaky up there. And they love beer.

In my younger days our preferred remedy (at the multiplex) was to get up, leave, and go into another theater to see a different movie.  I don't know what they did at the nickelodeons.........

So he wants the government to take a stand against a citizen exercising their constitutional rights? Have fun with that.

Was he this upset when ALL the football players stayed in the locker room pre 2003-ish?

2017-12-13 10:06:39 AM
I'm also going to guess there is a clause in the contract you signed when you bought the tickets that you can't get a refund cause you're butt hurt about something the team did.

FFS, it ain't the kneeling that's ruining the game.

Theres a line for season tickets. There will be a butt in his seats. Except maybe the preseason games. Those dont always have butts in them.

Dragna attended the Saints' home opener this year, against New England, when he says some players were not on the field during the anthem. He has not been to a game since.

Hey chucklehead; Are they still playing? Did someone from the team physically prevent you from attending games? If the answer to #1 is 'Yes', and the answer to #2 is 'No', then you don't have a farking case. YOU made the decision not to attend the games, so EABOD.

While the guy doesn't have a case, I get his "uproar". He's parroting what he's been told to parrot.

When I was visiting family for Thanksgiving I was watching one of the football games and my father came in and said he stopped watching the NFL (and he LOVES football) because the players Hate America and are Protesting the Military. I said that the protests one, aren't nearly that big and two, have nothing to do with that, so he happily brought up Fox News and showed videos of some hatemonger du jour saying *exactly that* - that the thug players Hate America and The Troops and the NFL Isn't Doing Enough to Slap Them Down and Force Them to Stand Like Patriots.

It doesn't matter that what Fox was telling him wasn't based in reality in the slightest. He's old, he watches Fox News, and their reality bubble becomes reality. The additional fact that protesting in whatever form is kinda what America is about also didn't matter.

(Unsurprisingly, I don't talk politics with my father).

i talked to a customer yesterday in Cleveland & he said he stopped going to Brown's games cause of the kneeling
i thought... that's what it took to make you give up on the Browns...not cause they are horrible & have been for almost ever
