Sim Tree: But WHY was the Hitler figure a pony? That seems totally unnessessary in TFA.

Random Anonymous Blackmail: The people from If you Give a Mouse a Cookie have gone too far.
Ilmarinen: What offends me more is the way history is presented here. As if those silly appeasers had no good arguments not to start a terrible war every 25 years. As if Chamberlain is to blame for not knowing what we know. If they only had studied the history of WW II better, it might not have happened...
andrewagill: The thing that offends me about this assignment is the implication that appeasement caused Hitler.Appeasement is a dark stain on European history and without a doubt accelerated Hitler's expansion, but I'm not sure that historians agree that there's a direct line from appeasement to WWII or its enormity. If the UK had declared war on Germany in 1936 following the remilitarization of the Rhineland, they'd still have been a weak opponent, as they didn't have a strong enough military at the time. While appeasement was morally and strategically the wrong move, it's not clear that historians agree that a strong response would have substantially shortened the war or lessened its atrocities.
