It may be the generation you grew up in. George C Scott was Scrooge in '84, which was when I was a kid. It's the version we saw. Well, that, Scrooged, and a Muppet Christmas Carol.

I did too. This is the one I grew up watching on TV back in the early '60s. I only have one other Christmas DVD: the 1947 non-colorized "MIracle on 34th Street.
