Given Musburger's penchant for leering at young women, I'd put him next in line to join the Career Ending Sexual Assault (CESA) list.

I wonder what the line is for that in Vegas.

Brent Musburger is a racist half wit that has never taken a hit in his entire life.  He is a waste of oxygen.

Head shots. Kneeling. Stoppage time. Ticket costs/commercials. Parity issues. Joe Buck.

I can list a lot of reasons the fan base is slipping.

Brent is a crusty old pervert who has been spewing racism since at least the John Carlos/Tommy Smith protest. He can go away now

Gronk should have gotten a longer suspension. A headshot on a defenseless player during a play is at least a football action during a play.

Also, Musburger sucks.

You never thought you'd see "Brent Musburger" and "sex appeal" in the same sentence but alas this is what society has devolved into.

While I agree, there are several things to note... first is that Gronkowski doesn't have a reputation as a dirty player, though I believe this isn't the first time this sort of thing has happened. The bigger issue is that he did it out of frustration at the officiating (or lack thereof) that lead to the interception. In hockey, bad reffing tend to devolve into brawls because players are getting away with ticky-tack stuff - the refs let things get out of control. Gronk's light sentence might be a slight admission of that sort of thing in that game.

Us Lions fans called the favorable refereeing "The Green Bay Privilege" - where one team is allowed to commit countless obvious penalties, and its lead to a lot of frustrated, but very dirty plays (see Suh's many infractions) on the team that isn't getting the calls.

A coworker and I were talking just last week about this, trying to predict who's the next to fall. My money was on someone from ESPN and specifically him.

I would say Cincy and Pittsburgh should not play each other for a while. Maybe a decade or so.

"very dirty plays" - I never said Suh was "only frustrated" - just that frustration does lead to bringing out his worst instincts. My statement, in fact, was that he was very dirty.

LesserEvil: Gronkowski doesn't have a reputation as a dirty player

I don't believe any of the players have a reputation as a dirty player until they do dirty shiat like Gronkowski just did. It's pretty basic reasoning shiat here. If he was not dirty because he did not do that shiat before he is dirty now that he has. He is now by definition a dirty player so his reputation should reflect that, no?

Okay, there are 3 or 4 sentences they could have been attempting there. When did the Russian bots become interested in our sports?

Juju smith-schuster doesn't have a reputation as a dirty player. Neither does ikola or whatever his name was. Nor Crabtree or aqib (though I think aqib has had some shouting matches or something with guys).

I'm not sure what's in the water in Detroit, but I suspect it's very close to Flint.

The rest of us call that rule "The New England Patriots Privilege" or "The Dallas Cowboys Privilege". To think of a New Englander, of all people, complaining about officiating. Granted, they complain about everything, but this?!? Let's be serious. The Patriots complaining about unfair officiating would be like Harvey Weinstein or Matt Lauer complaining about being sexually harassed.

Half the guys in the Denver defense have a reputation for being dirty, Talib being the most well known, guy had a penchant for getting into fights and cheaply poking guys in eyes during/after plays.

I don't believe any of the players have a reputation as a dirty player until they do dirty shiat like Gronkowski just did. It's pretty basic reasoning shiat here. Reputation isn't written in stone, it's something you maintain - ie: Suh (who does something dirty every game) has an unrepairable reputation because he does shiat so often.

I don't agree. One infraction is a mistake. It's the pattern that makes for a reputation. There is no pattern with Gronkowski.

Is there's a way we can fine the shiat out of the Bengals organization? They've built up a dirty reputation for years now and it's getting pathetic.

When was James Harrison's last fine?  2010? 2011? Is he still a 'dirty player'? He's gone longer than most guys whole careers last without a fine and people bring him up all the time as dirty.

I've noticed over the years that Musberger has a tendency to make things about himself. Uses "me" or "I" entirely too much as a PBP broadcaster. Been that way since the late 70s calling NBA games.

James Harrison plays for the Steelers though so by default he is villified, I see James Harrison and I see a guy who posts some great workout videos but I don't usually hear his name in sack numbers. I haven't seen him as "dirty" in a long time.

Let's go ahead and overlook Shazier's target hit on Bernard that ended up almost getting Antonio Brown killed.

You either ban the sport or let them play. Don't pretend that just because you don't like something or you "care" that anyone else does. The more you micro-manage the more shiat you end up having to deal with
