If you're already long forgotten in your own lifetime, why should you be inducted?

Also, the Hall of Fame announced long ago they'll never induct Jethro Tull, so it's all a bunch of political BS anyway

Radiohead has been around for 37 years.

The confusion is that the song Creep is from 1993. So most people only think Radiohead is 34 years old.

Either way, I farking love Radiohead. That band and Yo La Tengo are the only bands that I have continuously followed since High School and bought all their albums.

32-33 years. Formed in 85, per wiki.

Only reason it stands out is that I'm 38 and then starting out when I was born didn't sit well. That they started in 85 is plenty surprising. I'll have to dive into the old stuff.

I was an occasional fan. Love the Bends, OK Computer, and Kid A. Kind of lost track after that except for random songs. I downloaded a bunch from Amazon prime recently but haven't had a chance to really delve into it. Kids and too much other music to make time for....

Remember, prior to being signed to EMI, Radiohead used to be called 'On a Friday', same lineup, and same sound.

In the 1980s, Radiohead (On a Friday) released exclusively on cassette tapes, kinda like other unsigned British Indie bands of the time, like the Cleaners from Venus.

These tapes are rapidly rotting and are very rare, so they have become extraordinarily valuable. Also, I don't think EMI or Parlophone ever got the rights to these tapes, so I don't see represses of 80s Radiohead material available.

Ten years too late on that one.....
