I remember, back in the 70s, there were terrible, terrible game shows on TV: Match Game, Holllywood Squares, The $10,000 Pyramid (not a typo). They had "celebrity" panelists, guests, judges, etc, that nobody could remember (other than bouncing between those game shows) what these people were famous for.

/ Noel Gallagher is rapidly turning into one of those

But if it's isolated to one tab, its easier to nuke it from orbit.

Socialist, Communist. There's not a whole lot of difference.

Man who is farking terrible even at the one thing he's good at, who is openly proud of not ever knowing anything or having ever attempted to learn anything, also doesn't know anything about the history of modern political movements.  Quelle surprise.

Actually in the case of UK political history, there really isn't.  I know this isn't US history so you probably never learned it, but British communism predates Karl Marx by most of a century.  Even the most well-known example of old-school British communism, the Rochdale Society of Equitable Pioneers (considered the codifier of the principles of the majority of the British movement), was founded in 1844, half a decade before Marx and the manifesto.  Socialism isn't some weakened half-measure version of communism, it's basically the OG form, yo.

Essentially, the full-on british socialists are communist, they just rejected the violent "reform movement" version that was Marxism.

// This has been remedial middle school history for Americans.  I'll avoid getting started on America's history with communism and why it's directly responsible for about half the things a lot of idiots uphold as the benefits of 'captialism' even if you ignore obvious social programs, but this post is already longer than the effort to type it was worth.

So he was correct, but you're going to spend 100+ words telling him how stupid he is?  Is your next post a dissertation on how big your hands really are?

What makes RSEP communist? Wiki, etc talk about co-operative movement and one of 7 Rochdale Principles was political neutrality

Other than, ya know, seizing the means of production and the proles rising up, etc etc.

Small distinctions, I know.
