They're all too distracted trying to figure out how the show is still on the air, when its story ended eight seasons ago...

Ever since this purge of sexual a-holes, I have had that Tool song stuck in my head that goes "We gotta flush it all away..." Gosh, can't remember the song's name off the top of my head, but I know it's from the Rust In Peace album.

Either way, keep speaking up people, so we can keep flushing these turds away.

It's like the old style "prevent all Forrest fires'" forestry managment. An incredible amount of social fuel has been building up in the US. Trump was the lightning strike. Now the fires are following every path open and burning anyone in the way.

There is still far more fuel to burn both foreign and domestic...

It's pushback on the gains the social regressives have been making. An expression of the frustration people feel since the government is being controlled by the party antithetical to womens' interests and health. Women voted against them..... and despite coming out ahead by 3 million votes the asshole regressive authoritarians still "won" and got the power.

Since there's nothing anyone can do about that at the moment, and there's always the fear that the will of the people could be violated again in the next election, women are frustrated enough to take action, and put their foot down about the way men in power - like our POTUS - have been treating them. They can't change the POTUS, and they can't reclaim the democratic power we've lost...... but they can scream bloody murder about having their tits grabbed, and get some people fired for that kind of shiat.

And now the climate is becoming more open to their complaints in a way it wasn't before, so even more women are willing to take the risk of coming forward.

"On at least one occasion, Kreisberg had interacted with a young female writer on The Flashearly in the show's run in a manner that was described as "inappropriate" and creating "a hostile work environment," according to a source close to the situation."

In the case of shows like this, actors and crew members are relatively young, and thus, have limited influence as far as getting rid of pervs in authority on a power trip. "If you don't want to, that's fine. I got audition tapes from dozens of young women who'd love to have your job. Have fun working at Starbucks."

The Weinstein/Spacey allegations laid down cover fire for people who would have risked being blacklisted for speaking up before.

I may be missing the jokes here, but:
1) Arizona Bay is a Bill Hicks album (released posthumously).
2) Rust in Peace is a Megadeth album.
3) The song killro referenced is Ænema from the album Ænima.

I wonder if we would have had this same scenario if Clinton was elected.  Most of this seems to be some reaction (directly or indirectly) to Trump getting elected.  With Clinton the status quo would have not really changed over from Obama and I would wager dollar to donuts we wouldn't be having this revelation.

Maybe that was it though.  Maybe people saw Trump getting away with too much so society (women in general) started protesting, getting more bold, and the zeitgeist that occurred from that allowed women in other areas to be bold and start taking a stand, and eventually led to outing Weinstein.

With Clinton I think the status quo would have stayed the same, the left would not have been as energized (of course they still might have with the DNC shenanigans), and even though it would have been the first female President, I don't think it would have embolden the female population as much as having a common enemy to rally against would.

Pelosi took a few days reviewing the facts before suggesting a powerful, long-time ally resign. If you want to pass me the URL to that jackoff GIF you mentioned early, this would be a good place for me to use it.

As far as Cosby/Weinstein..... I am sure the Cosby thing hasn't been forgotten, but that came out in 2014. The Weinstein revelations seemed to have been the first pebble that started the avalanche, as the floodgates opener immediately thereafter. Frustration of the seizure of power by social regressives against the will of the people - particularly by women - began being expressed immediately after the 2016 election. A truly massive showing of protest exemplifies this - the Women's march on Washington right after Trump's inauguration (which of course was set in motion by his win).

The people spoke - and the system said "Fark you. These people who want to fark with your healthcare and reproductive rights at best - and think you should be subservient to men at worst - get the power anyway." That frustration has to go somewhere. Since the people don't seem to actually have the ability to choose the president, and certainly can't remove him from power, they're fighting back against powerful exploiters closer to home instead. Now that the issue is being acknowledged as more prevalent than previously thought, people are taking the victims more seriously than before, and are less inclined to help silence them.

That guy?  I know his face from videos on the making of the various shows.

And right after the spectacular 4 way crossover, wow.

Well I wasn't going to, but since you brought that humdinger up, here's a little one for you...

Also, Pelosi switched from believing victims to "I don't know who they are" when she thought it suited her and her friends, then switched again when she figured out it really didn't suit her and her other friends anymore.

Geotpf: Burr: mongbiohazard: Mugato: Why is all this shiat happening now, all of a sudden? It's like the confederate statue thing. Alll of a sudden everyone's pissed about something.

No, the trigger for the flood of accusations was Weinstein, not Trump.  In fact, Trump being elected probably tamped down some accusations, since he was elected even though people were accusing him of similar stuff (IE, no consequences for behaving badly).

I am on record wondering if Weinstein engineered a Gotterdammerung by having everyone take a fall if he has to.
