Yelling at the TV during a Seahawks game.

Gotta disagree. It always seems to be the calm, chill people who seem to die young. It's the bitter and angry people who seem to live well into their 90's clutching at life while treating everyone around them like garbage.

Unless they get nominated to an HOA board, then they draw substance by inflecting their misery on others.

Seriously though, if we imposed some kind of government program that removed all hemorrhoids, for free, as soon as they were discovered, we would probably have a hell of a lot less toxic old people in the world.

They do seem to have a very strong will to live, if for no other reason than to be a pain for those around them.

My experience has been that terrible people seem to live forever.  I think living in a constant state of hate, anger and being generally miserable is like a workout for them and it keeps them physically healthy.

It's not so hard when you live by sucking the life out of everyone else. The trick is not to let them close to you.

I'm counting on it - fingers-crossed, I go out with massive coronary. I just hope that it doesn't happen on the freeway when there's a chance that innocent bystanders get hurt. Someplace dramatic, like in my supervisor's office during my next performance review. Somehow, voiding my bowels there seems like an appropriate last act.

So is that why the Daily Fail is still around?

Blissfully ignorant staff and ownership?

Like my Dad, somehow managed to survive despite massive amounts of health problems, I think constant anger just pickles people.

My nutjob grandmother is still holding on and nearing 90 (his mother).

I honestly stopped watching most Eagles games a while back.  I tended to get too stressed out and it just wasn't fun.  My son thinks it's bizarre and it probably is, but whatever.

Patriots. 2007.  It got to the point where I started dreading the games.

After the loss, I said "Never again", and I've been merely a casual NFL fan ever since

You guys must know my FIL. Horrendously racist (he once said Hitler wasn't bad, just incompetent), demeaning, degrading to everyone. He has driven away his siblings and many friends, made life miserable for his kids. Plus he was a successful businessman and has lots of money which he uses to get his way or, if he offers to help someone out, hold it over their head. This SOB has survived cancer, T-bone car accidents, major spinal surgery requiring fusion of 2 vertebrae, several near-disastrous landings in his Cessna.

When he had a heart attack that blew a hole the size of a nickel in the septum between his ventricles the cardiologist said that they usually see that kind of damage in the autopsy. Yet he managed to still walk around that way for a week before the surgery. During the operation they fixed the hole but his heart became swollen and they couldn't close his chest. The doctor came out to tell us and said that if they couldn't close his chest that we had to decide if my FIL would want to be kept alive in an induced coma in the hopes that the selling would go down or if they should just remove support. He said we should talk it over and then he went back into the OR. We had just reached a decision that they shouldn't take extraordinary measures when the doc came back out.
"I've never seen anything like it," he said. "All of a sudden the swelling went down, his heart rate and BP stabilized and we were able to close him up!" My son contends that black tendrils of pure evil came out of my FIL's chest and knitted him closed. Heaven won't take him and hell is afraid he'll take over.

They're going to hang on until they get even with everyone who wronged them.
So they will live forever.

That's what I think about my psycho ex too. That's why I haven't been near him in years.

Billy Liar: It's not "anger".  It's my "passion".

That's the stupid expression my boss uses.  "You need to be less passionate about your job."  She also uses the word dialogue as a verb.  And the word efforting and all sorts of "verbing" of nouns.  It's a quick way for me to lose respect.

I used to get angry a lot then a bunch of life shiat most all of us go through happened (people dying, surgery, etc).  Now I just roll my eyes and move on.  And usually laugh.  Life is a lot better this way.
