Actually, Monday is the deadline for Kush Kush to hand over emails and correspondence to the Senate judiciary.

So there might be some news.

investigating an attempt by President Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner to block the passage of UN Security Council Resolution 2334 condemning Israeli settlement activity

Does Kushner have some special pull at the UN? I'm trying to imagine what he could have done that would be illegal.

There's a laundry list of things likely, promises of $ exchanging hands, promises of future favorable legislation, etc, future agreeable UN votes, on and on.

Since this family doesn't give a rat's backside what's legal or isn't, Kushner likely doesn't know nor care what laws he's breaking, but the family wants influence both here in the now, and in the future even if Turnip is voted out of office or impeached.

The family business and it's continuation, legally or extralegally, is all that matters to them.

Unfortunately that defies all logic.  Why would Jared Kushner be lobbying to veto the vote on behalf of Russia.  Russia can simply veto the resolution all by itself.  And who would he try to convince to veto it?  The US?  That's absurd.  Russia?  Oh wait, your claim is he's working for Russia.  Why would Russia lobby itself?

They say this is based on reporting by the WSJ. So far all I see on this is the headline from 5 days ago:

Special Counsel Mueller Probes Jared Kushner's Contacts With Foreign Leaders: Investigators look into Trump senior adviser's role in talks about U.N.'s resolution condemning Israel

https://www.wsj.com/articles/special-counsel-mueller-probes-jared-kushners-contact-with-foreign-leaders-1511306515

So is this a new development of that that's more serious, or is this reporting on 5-day-old news?

Finally! It's about time Mueller or SOMEBODY investigated Kushner. Frankly, the Theater Guild should have done it years ago.

He breaks our hearts with Angels in America back in 1993, but then what? I mean, I guess the screenplay for Munich was okay, but Lincoln was overwrought at best, and really what else is there on his résumé?

Sleep lightly, Tony-boy. Mueller's coming for you, you washed-up hack!

/oh, Jared Kushner

One favorite bit of my Catholic up-bringing was the ultimate lasso of sinfulness: the Occasion of Sin. (That was an archaic use of the word "occasion" which meant something akin to the slippery slope. Don't be a meter reader at a brothel. Don't play checkers in a crack house. Don't take the Sears Catalog into the bathroom with you. Etc.) I can imagine Kushner's lobbying opportunities being a fecund Occasion of Sin  It's sad that it appears too onerous for you.

It's not Russia, it's Sheldon Adelson, one of his only real financial backers in the election. Sheldon and Bibi are two peas in a pod.

Violation of the Logan Act, though from what I've read the Act is on thin ice constitutionally. However if there was a cover-up it's likely that would be illegal even if charges under the Act couldn't be sustained.

It's tempting to read too much into those things. Sometimes Trump screams about black people because he just feels like screaming about black people.

KIA: What law was allegedly broken here?

The UN resolution was against Israel, and the US was refusing to veto it. The Russians were considering vetoing it, so Israel talking to Kushner to see if he could exert pressure on his foreign contacts to find "someone" who would veto it is of interest to Mueller's investigation. Did the Israelis go to Kushner to push for a Russian veto of the resolution, knowing that Kushner and other members of Trump's team were already colluding with the Russians? What other country with veto power would Kushner have had any influence with?

Violating the Logan Act requires that the offender be "without authority of the United States" when negotiating with a foreign government.  Trump can delegate such power to Kushner if he wants.

You really think Trump is going to be impeached? Seriously?  LMAO!!

If the incredibly dishonest and biased liberal media, or anyone else for that matter, hasn't found something illegal in Trumps activities at this point, then they never will.  The reason? Because Trump isn't like Crooked Hillary or illegal deal Obama.

He can delegate that power, but if he didn't do that, then technically Cushion is "without authority of the United States"

But it could just be a minor point in a much more serious investigation.
