NBA LCS. Wes Edens also owns one of the listed teams, the 76ers owned a team until this month but dissolved it after their franchising application was rejected, and the Heat own a team in Europe. Plus there's a plethora of part-owners and former players, starting with Rick Fox, who've made significant investments.

The synergy's there, both are five-man team games with a young fanbase and a huge secondary market in Asia.

Also, you know, the implications of a video game company telling the Sixers (and Steve Kaplan for another rejected team) that they were neither a top 10 reliable investment partner nor good enough to stretch the list to 12. Changes are coming fast.

Also, going over the list, you have Echo Fox founded by Rick Fox(which you mentioned) and Clutch Gaming affiliated with the Rockets.

Whose rosters do their inherit / build from? I hope IMT & Dig or those matches will be hot garbage. And if Echo Fox is any indication of what a NBA group owning a franchise is like, it will be hot garbage anyway.

The only rumored proper package deal was most of IMT to Liquid, who according to ESPN are keeping Pobelter and Olleh while trying to wheel and deal the rest. That'd likely free up Mickey depending on what import restrictions are announced for the farm league.
Clutch seems to have grabbed the better parts of NV piecemeal, though. Not so optimistic on Apollo but Lira and Hakuho are worthwhile and they may have wanted the existing synergy. And 100 Thieves appears to be picking through P1.

Hai is declared FA and Aphromoo is heavily rumored, so I wouldn't be amazed if Optic or GGs tries to build around rookies+one of them. Which as much as I love Hai sounds like it would be a quarterfinals team, but given how stacked TSM and Liquid are looking, how many stars are still up in the air, and how smug Jack sounds even as nothing except potential departures leaks, I'm not sure getting out of quarterfinals is reliably in the cards for anyone else.
