"You have two NFL franchises in an area that I don't know how stable the geological plates that were below us [were], but nothing happened, so that was good."

And now that the team is back in the USA, too bad about those Mexicans and their shiatty earthquake zone.

Mexico City should have an MLB team.

Yeah Bill you're right, the NFL would never put franchises in earthquake prone areas, never mind two.  That'd just be silly

He has to bribe an entirely new set of stadium officials

I feel like he was really trying not to say "kidnapping" or something similar.

"So what'd you think of Mexico City, Bill?"

"Vamos a Miami"

Mexico is probably better suited for an NFL franchise than London. Despite all of our recent Mexico bashing, they remain enamoured with all things American.

I know this is simplistic, but I wish we had spent half of the efforts we've spent trying to rebuild the Middle East into our neighbor to the south.  Would've really benefitted ourselves a lot more and been a lot less IEDish.

Stop trying to find racism where there isn't any. Mexico City is an earthquake-prone shiathole. Oklahoma is an earthquake-prone (fracking induced) shiathole. Some places are just shiatholes.

If Belichick is against it, I'm automatically for it.  Sweet Jeebus, I cannot wait for the Pats to finally return to a crappy football team so that I don't have to hear anymore crap from their fans*.

- fun
- not cheating

Mexicans illegally in the US know just how he feels, they don't want to go back either.

Why not hold the Pro-bowl in London or Mexico?   Sure the game isn't that great but that already is the case.  Then the stars can sell it to them for a whole week and no one loses a home game.  If it does well can do a variety of other cities too.  The previous year Pro-bowlers could vote on whatever cities put in a bid.

FFS you'd do the same if the tables were turned. And both NE and their fans would have it coming. As you said upthread this Brady/Belichick ride won't last forever. Stop whining.

The air quality is amazing but thin, so there's that.

I used to fly into Mexico City often. When you look down you see two things: mansions and tin shacks.

Nobody likes those Mexico / London games.  Except the league.  The players and coaches wouldn't do it if they had any choice, but they don't.

Christ, do you people have a contest going on to see who's more miserable in their lives?

Wait, anybody who even visited Boston? Why do you hate Obama? Also Joe Montana's favorite tv show was Cheers. I think LordBeavis is a clown.

A new CBA is on the horizon. Players need a great negotiator to get rid of this crap as well as Thursday night games (unless all 3 come after a bye week, at best)

If you think teams have trouble playing in Denver, imagine the complaints that will come out of the NFLPA when you have to go there playing at 8,000 feet on a smoggy day.

You should feel honored to be alive at such a time and actually be able to witness the greatest dynasty ever. Come on! Imagine being able to see Muhamad Ali fight?  Or  be around when Haddix pitched 12 perfect innings? Or be there when Jesus was born?

You're living in exciting times!

oryx: The London games are even stupider.

This.
From Boston, the nearest city to London in the NFL, it's 7 hours and at least 5 time zones depending on the time of year.
From Boston, the furthest city from Mexico City in the NFL, it's 5 hours and 1 time zone.

It's longer to fly from Boston to five other NFL cities (Seattle, Oakland, San Jose, LA, Phoenix) than it is to fly to Mexico City.

You joke, but it does bear repeating: No city has ever had the run in professional sports that Boston has had since the turn of the millennium.
