Can we trust peer-reviewed papers?

Well, it's not quite as good as a group of well-known authors collaborating to publish the worst novel ever written in order to expose a scam publisher for what they truly are, but I'll give it a solid 8.5 on the "righteous troll" scale.

And if you don't know the story of Atlanta Nights, do yourself a favor and learn it.

It seems like someone does this about once a month.  These scam journals aren't exactly a new discovery.

Nah...that's a hungry, young scholar looking to get his name out there and the deserved, lifelong adulation of his grad students as a farking rock star. Those of us with tenure are content with our 3-hour work days and strengthening our union thugness during office hours. Oh, and indoctrinating young patriots to hate America. I almost forgot that one.

I LOVED it but it did get kinda preachy from time to time with the PSAs that broadcast tv had to do at the time.

Most depressing series finale ever!

And the worms explain why they've been rubbing their asses all over the carpet.

/try not to think of that the next time you visit a dog home.

I got like five of these emails today. It's amazing how bad some of them are. I even got invited onto an editorial board from a "peer reviewed" Journal that was enthralling by my research.

Indeed, quit. I just wish they would f*ck off they can stop having to mark them as spam every morning.

well that would explain the poor grammar and reading comprehension of reviewer #1.

duckpoopy: I guess if you have tenure you can waste your time doing shiat like this.

I think his point was that there was so little time and effort that even a dog could fulfill the "duties". and that the journals are a money mill that don't care about science or credentials.
