Would the House of Windsor really give two sh*ts what the Tudors did back in the day?

The line of succession passes through Margaret Tudor (Henry VIII's sister) to the Stuarts, and not through Henry himself, since Eddie, Mary, and Lizzie never had kids.

You can generally find that sort of thing in anyone's family if you go back far enough. The BBC recently did a three-part historical drama called Gunpowder, in which Kit Harington played Robert Catesby, the leader of the Gunpowder Plot, who happens to be his own direct ancestor on his mother's side (his full name is Christopher Catesby Harington). History records that, after Catesby's head was placed on a pike, a passing nobleman commented, "He's an ugly fellow, isn't he?" The man's name was John Harington and yes, he was Kit's ancestor on his father's side. For an added wrinkle, some sources claim Kit also has one of Charles II's bastards among his ancestors - which, if true, would in turn make him descended from James I, the king Catesby was trying to kill.

So Hank8 didn't cut off Harry's Ancestors (not that we know of), but Liz1 at least shortened Mary Queen of Scots (who was the mother of the Stuarts).
/Liz claimed the six foot Mary "too tall"
//Liz claimed that she was the perfect size

My aunt and uncle have our family tree all mapped out (Quakers, it's apparently a thing). All the way back to my great-to-the-xth grandfather, King Alfred the Great, you can see how various branches of the family went on to greatness.

My family's from the other branches.

Every election you get the obligatory "Such and such is 16th cousins to this famous person". That means nothing. 16th cousins is so distant that almost everybody with ancestors on that continent is probably 16th cousins.

And? Is this a way to make her look more British? My great grandpa was an illegal immigrant from Blackpool, England (he was adopted by his aunt and uncle as a child and they came on a boat that docked in Canada and they just kind of crossed the US border and ended up in South Dakota. He was all kinds of awesome). I wonder how far back I have to go to get to someone who was beheaded or burned at the behest of some monarch...

If Harry becomes king and she cheats on him, her beheading would continue a family tradition.

And what a media event that would be! England could fill the national coffers with the product placement rights.

The Windsor's aren't in any way related to Henry VIII. They were brought in, as the Hanovers, after the the last Protestant Stuart died off without issue(the Catholic part of the family having been invalidated). Their just some random Germans entirely unaffiliated with England before 1714.

Also, the real upshot of this story is that Markle's got a deeper history with England than the royals do, which honestly most white USians could probably claim.

Why am I not suprised that Prince Harry is dating a hussey?

The Hanovers, and from them the British Saxe-Coburgs and the Windors, are descended from Henry Tudor (aka Henry VII) via Sophia Stuart, grand-daughter of James Stuart (James VI & I); the Hanovers weren't some random Euros looking for a throne.

She works very hard to look white, yes.  Being black limits her.  Being ambiguous doesn't.

She's black and Jewish.  And divorced. And American.  Articles have already been written on the white-washing of her background.  This is just another example.

Remember when Brad Pitt was accused of becoming whomever he was currently dating wanted?  That's Meghan Markle, but with a streak of golddigging.
