The fact Trump and Co. thought they could hide this just highlights what depths their hubris runs.

He may have gone in to battle with his hands bound.  "I can beat you with both hands tied behind my back" is a familiar battle cry among the Army.

He died defending Russia's access to its Nigerean uranium mining claims.  While it may be that his killers were Muslim, the notion that they're ISIS is laughable propaganda.  The men with guns in that part of the world are local rabble that have grown frustrated watching Russia suck away Niger's wealth without giving anything back in return.

There are no other resources of merit in Niger.  Every foreigner that is there is there for one reason: Niger holds between 8 and 15 percent of the world's readily available known uranium reserves.  Lots of private Merc in Niger.  Makes me wonder if they aren't hording their own radioactive material for the agenda that drives them.

Again, a link to a paywall.  Yay, where if I want to hear about it, it's through Fark comments.  Nope, I'm out.

/maybe ban links to paywalls, mods

Gazprom is a literal translation of Gas Prom. This originates from Russian prom kings pouring gas over the heads of their prom queens as a prank, similar to the scene in the 1976 film, "Carrie," where the protagonist is cruelly doused in pigs' blood.

I've said from the get-go, the Russians were involved. It's just another patch of earth sitting on immense resources that countries want to fight over.

We'll find out pretty fast if it was actually ISIS fanboi's and not some merc's.  Video's of the brutal execution will be all over the net within a week once they get done editing it.  Executing a (now) famous United States Soldier in a barbaric fashion in High Def with screams amped up while some farked up Islamic yodeling is played on a loop, shiat, They been waiting for years for this kind of propaganda (both ISIS and the US govt).  They gonna pay top dollah for the shipping to get that vid out asap.

ISIS gets to bask in the admiration of the middle east for doing something farked up.  The US goverment gets another recruiting tool when people lose their shiat from watching Sgt. La David Johnson get his head bashed with a farking rock while some Nigerian rednecks scream their national anthem.  Hell everybody is a winner.  Except of course his widow, but its not like anybody here gives a shiat about her beyond using her for political gains.

God I hope its just mercs being mercs, but I doubt it.  Merc's woulda just shot him and been done with it.

Probably because there's some good reporting there, and most people know how to use a browser.

Doubt it is mercs. Local muslim militia that pledged for ISIS.

This wasn't a large orchestrated execution, this was likely a scenario where they had a prisoner they wanted to hold onto, but knew the ensuing SAR operation would be huge, so they executed him and took his shoes and left him in a field. I'd be surprised if they even had time to video it.

That implies they would have been silent had it happened on Hillary's watch.

Thank you, that was bothering me too.

Also, my first name is Johnson AND I work in Africa (not too far from there, really) so it was really weird reading an article about my death.

Don't condescend me for getting annoyed at crappily designed sites.

If I have to go through one iota of extra effort to read a news story (that could easily be found everywhere else), then it's too much trouble.  My contention is that I do not want extra trouble when clicking on links from a news aggregator that presumably has already filtered out the crappily designed sites.  WaPo should be filtered out.  And it's not.

I've wasted too much of my time by even responding to this.
