Oh God, Gillmore is back. This is bad... or at least it would be if Denver had a QB who wasn't in the front office.

How did they just forget XLVIII? Did they selectively ignore Peyton's most Manningface performance on purpose?

On the one hand, I don't want the Cheatriots to win another game for the entirety of their existence, but on the other hand, if the Donkeys win it's going to be a descent into Brony Hell, so I certainly don't want that.

Guess I'm rooting for the meteor. Maybe Putin will send Kraft's ring back to him on the nose of an ICBM.

Cocaine Cowboys embarrassed themselves in the late game.  That was good.  Not sure if the Pats will take Denver, but we'll see.

Get ready!

"Jerry, my franchise got killed for a BS incident with so-called deflated footballs. We lost our quarterback for 25% of the season. We got fined a million bucks. We lost first- and fourth-round picks. For hogwash! But I took it. My fans killed me for it, but I try to be a good partner. "

I seem to recall a certain glory-hole owner telling Bob Kraft that he just needed to accept the punishment and be a team player.

But he took it. Yeah, he took it. To court.

Kraft telling Jerruh to shut up and take it instead of taking it as far as it could go is patently absurd on its face. But now it's reached the end so it's time for Jerruh to deal with it. It's just ridiculous that Kraft makes like he's the guy who should be saying this.

I think the Donks will score a few more points today.

So, either Patriots 35 (or more)-17... or the Donks somehow pull a "2017 NFL" and totally shut down the Pats offense.

Your "Oh, Cleveland!" stat of the day...

The Browns are now the last winless team left in the league for the 3rd time in the last 6 years, although since 2002, that ties them with Miami:
Cleveland 3 - 2017, 2016, 2012
Miami 3 - 2011, 2007, 2004
Detroit 2 - 2015, 2008
Oakland 2 - 2014, 2006
Tampa Bay 2 - 2013, 2009

On the other end of the spectrum, only 2 teams have been the last undefeated more than once since 2002:
Kansas City 4 - 2017, 2013, 2010, 2003
Indianapolis 3 - 2009, 2006, 2005

After that comment about Darth Hoodie tying Landry with his next win, I went and looked at the coaching list.

I don't care how many times he lost in the Super Bowl, a 200 win coach like Reeves belongs in the HOF. And Marty...seriously. Do it now while he can appreciate it.

My two most despised teams, going head to head. Come on Meteor!  But failing that, come on Denver, pull out a horrible tiny victory over the slightly more disliked Pats.  Then both of you can lose all the rest of your games for the entire season.

And Rodney Harrison just threw the Texans under the bus with that "there is a better quarterback sitting at home" comment.

Are you intentionally being confused as to what that statement is about or do you really not see the difference?

Kraft isn't talking about Elliot appealing his suspension. He's talking about Jerry Jones accepting it as a franchise, not suing the league and trying to undermine the negotiations with Goodell. What Kraft "took" was the fine and the loss of draft picks, and ultimately the loss of his QB.

Jones doesn't even stand to lose as much as Kraft did, yet he's fighting harder. Especially when Jerry Jones was VERY vocal about Kraft needing to just accept the punishment.

So yes, Kraft firing back at him right now is perfectly prudent.

At this point, I think Bill could put Reggie Ball in at quarterback and have success.

/if you don't get that reference... he's the guy who was Calvin Johnson's college quarterback
//and... his completion percentage was less than 50%

Compared to Savage? Hell, HE'S a better quarterback. He's right, but that's absolutely not a high bar to reach.

A comment about "accepting the punishment" relates directly to Elliott's suspension, as that's the only punishment involving Dallas at the moment.. The separate lawsuit trying to undermine Goodell's contract is a related, but separate issue.

So no, I'm not confused. You're either confused yourself or being deliberately obdurate.

But that's neither here nor there. Let's just watch the game.

He's 3-7 in Denver. Granted, 3 of those losses were against Peyton, and one was pretty much singlehandedly to Champ Bailey more than anyone else on that team, but still.

An older quarterback missing four games in a division (and conference) full of absolute garbage? I call that "rest." And the Patriots sure paid for it...

On the other hand, Jerruh is panicking a) because he's selfish and the NFL's preeminent POS owner and b) because he knows his team is flawed enough, and the conference he plays in (and even the division) are deep enough, that this loss could matter to their chances of even making the playoffs.

But, man, like... do you even REMEMBER some of the lowlights? Reggie Ball looked like he shouldn't have been a high school quarterback. And his completion percentage somehow kept getting WORSE as his career went on. I think he became almost a Fark meme, he was so awful.
