I know Cutler has his issues but this seems a little extreme.

Save the entire species AND have sushi?  Sounds like a good deal to me.

I'd kill a dolphin to make a sandwich.

I'd kill a dolphin in Reno just to watch him die.

Damn you. You beat me to it by less than a minute.

So, the fishermen were not going to kill the dolphin anyway? The article seems to imply that there was something more troubling going on than just filming what was already happening, but it doesn't really lay it out.

2017-11-06 10:12:34 AM
Do I get to pick how I kill it?

2017-11-06 10:12:50 AM
it doesn't bother me to kill any other fish

2017-11-06 10:13:58 AM
Like, with a hammer? It's just flopping around and I have to beat it to death with a ball peen hammer, pounding it with dull wet thwacks until you can hear the bones crack and break beneath it's damp leathery skin, bruises giving way to dark red pockets of oozing viscera, the blood splashing against my sweat covered brow as the blows rain down with more and more ferocity?

What a sick fark!

But I still don't get the headline.

Hmm. This is actually the plot to the main events of Cannibal Holocaust, just substituting a native tribe in the places of river dolphins.

Yeah it doesn't make sense. They're trying to make it sound like the film maker killed the dolphin or set up the killing when all he was doing was filming the villagers doing what they do.

Are they saying he should have tried to stop them? Cause that probably would have ended badly for him.

2017-11-06 10:35:48 AM
Repeatedly.

On the planet Earth, man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much - the wheel, New York, wars and so on - whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man - for precisely the same reasons. The last ever dolphin message was misinterpreted as a surprisingly sophisticated attempt to do a double-backwards-somersault through a hoop whilst whistling the 'Star Spangled Banner', but in fact the message was this: So long and thanks for all the fish.

Of course I'd kill those smug farkers.

Suppose you were standing by a railroad switch, and if you flip the switch and divert an oncoming train, you'll save 5 dolphins tied to the railroad tracks, but cause a dolphin on the other track to be killed...
