Really enjoyed him in it.

You don't have to be smart to play d&d. It helps if the DM is smart ... but the rest are just there to have fun.

He was dumb enough to smile in Stranger Things 2.  Such a farking cliche.

I liked him in Stranger Things 2 okay enough, I suppose. I think his character could've been fleshed out a bit more, though.

(SPOILERS BELOW)
(SPOILERS BELOW)

(SPOILER) I thought it was a cruel thing to do to his character (and to the audience) to have Paul Reiser "sacrifice" himself in order to save him only to kill him off anyway... particularly when the majority of the audience isn't naive enough to think Reiser isn't going to be revealed to still be evil in season 3. (SPOILER)

Those sorts of sacrifices piss me off. Along with the "fly you fools" where they all gawk at the dead friend long enough that his death didn't buy them 2 seconds

Came here to say this.

"Harrison Bergeron" was the first Kurt Vonnegut story I ever read, in my 5th grade reading group. needless to say, that encounter changed my life.

When I watched the movie version, Sean Astin was great in it, but I was deeply disappointed - at first. The first 15 minutes of the movie followed the short story pretty well, but then continued after Harrison's "death" in something that reminded me of Ira Levin's "This Perfect Day." (great dystopian book, if you've never heard of it)

After the movie veered far away from Vonnegut's short story, I hated it. And kept hating it right up until the last few seconds of the final scene. The twist ending stayed true to the "essence" of the short story, and redeemed itself. But I had been mumbling to myself, "They've ruined it!" for over an hour up to that point.

National treasure? No.

IMHO he is cast whenever show-runners are out of ideas and need a bumbling idiot.

That being said, he was perfect as Twoflower.

I adore Sean, he is wildly talented. Not surprising looking at his pedigree. With me, he will always have a "Cool" credit for being the son of the* Gomez Adams.

I have to admit that his portrayal of Samwise cause a shift from having read the books, His Sam was pretty much the hero, Elijah's Frodo was played rather weak and a bit too dramatic. When your character is the strong one and also gets the comedic lines it's not hard to eclipse the 'important' character you are literally carrying. YMMV, these are just my feels.

* I did like Raul Julia as Gomez but John Astin was Gomez. Kooky.

Just started on Stranger Things 2 and his character's relationship with Joyce is taking me out of it a bit. Sure, Winona Ryder is no longer the doe-eyed enchantress she once was, but even as a single mom Joyce is still WAY out of this dork's league.

He's one of those people who I genuinely admire. He's dedicated to his work but never takes himself too seriously. And by all accounts is a super nice guy :)
Bob was easily my favorite character of the season.

Not just you. It was a bunch of loops within loops to check each digit. I remember thinking I'd have done it in a single loop.

I laughed because apparently the system has no defense whatsoever against a brute-force password guess.

0% as even in 1st edition the only stat that had percentage points on an 18 was STR.

She's a divorcee, in the middle of bum-fark Indiana.  He has a good income and can buy stuff.  A guy like that is like Superman to a woman that late in life.

Plus after all the crazy shiat she's been through, safe and unassuming sounds pretty freaking great.

He was also in 24, don't remember what season. It was the only season I watched.
