Gosh, maybe they shouldn't have built a stadium in a spot where they couldn't hold concerts after 10:00.

U2 blew the curfew when they played there in May.  and tehn i saw them about 2 weeks ago here in phoenix 'on a school night' as they say, and i was pleasantly surprised that they played until about 1125PM.  no idea if Glendale (a) has a curfew and/or if (b) the band ate the fine.  i only say that as i've been to other shows in phoenix (like, the actual city, whereas U2 played glendale, an incorporated suburb) where the band plays right up until 1059 then runs off teh stage.

one exception being foo fighters, who played until about 12AM at the Suns' arena.  wife and i had to leave the show early as we told the babysitter we'd be back at 1130.  we left, friends later said they played that long, which surprised tehs hit out of me.

also coldplay sucks ass.

The fine for breaking the venue curfew of between $75,000 and $100,000 will make the band members, their management, and everyone else think twice about doing it again. That kinda dough scared emo-evil ginger Ed Sheehan away though.

Wait, the fine is between $750 and $1000?

Never mind.

I'm sure some Silicon Valley super fan would have paid that much per song for them to play longer than the 61 minutes they were on stage before the curfew: they started playing at 8:59.
