I think the question on everybody's minds here is, does this mean there will be more or less full frontal nudity?

Ok but if they don't cast as many actors as they can from the HBO series Rome in this, it's gonna count as a FAIL. Even if it's just some cameos they really have to do it.

Subtonic: rubi_con_man: So basically, this show is about a park for people who want to kill or screw other humans with impunity, right?

Disneyland for adults. Well, sociopathic adults.

The driving storyline of the series is how it turns normal people into sociopaths.

I think in the last episode they said she was dead. Sadly...

That doesn't mean she can't come back as a sex robot, right?

You sound like you'd like the new "Star Trek Discovery" show, because there's not a lot of that high-falutin' talkin' stuff, but lots of the pew-pew-shooty-boom stuff.

That is a fair point. And who is to say she wasn't already a Host? We never saw her body (sadly in multiple definitions of the word).

At the very least they need Kevin McKidd & Ray Stevenson to do a walk-thru farking up some stuff

There was a sneak peek at Samurai world...But Anime World would really depend on what show/genre it was doing.

Personally, I'd like to visit Norse World.

I don't see how they are going to get pass the mass slaughter of humans by robots in the end of the first season, with other killer robots running around loose behind the scenes.

Unless they replace everyone that was killed with a host to try and cover it up...

and I just gave away the plotline to the next season.

Hopefully they can do something different.  The whole series seemed to be exploring the whole "what is self' thing until the end when it just became another robot rebellion trope.  In other words, the last episode just ruined it for me.

tkgeisha: I struggled with this show. Maybe more from the tone of it overall. I guess I was disappointed it didn't show the park as a fun place kinda like the original movie before it got into the robots rebelling and becoming sentient and all moody. Didn't Futureworld show a Roman and Midieval world also?

Having the humans being jerks made you have empathy for the robots. It also gave them a reason to rise up other than just having a meltdown.

Is there ANYTHING more disappointing than not seeing the Nudity warning in front of an episode of GoT or Westworld?  I think not. ;)

So? Corporation-wise, that means the character can't sue when they use her likeness in a synth. Win-win, and a narrative way to keep the actor in the show.

And, RomanWorld. Dangit, now I want to visit this particular dimension. The thought of waking up in the old west, visiting a far-east duel, and lounging around in the Roman Senate for giggles, that's a world to visit.

I loved this show, even though I dislike the Wild West as a setting. I was kind of hoping they'd go outside the park to the modern (future) world. In the first season they had the host with the transmitter in his arm that was being used to exfiltrate data from the park to a satellite. I'd like it if, in the second season, there's a story about trying to keep hosts from escaping the park. They could start it out a bit of a detective story about what that transmitter was all about. They could have a villain who wants to use hosts to achieve his own ends in the real world. The twist is of course that hosts infiltrated human society a long time ago and are doing to humans exactly what humans did to them for so long.

This text is now purple: Dingleberry Dickwad: This text is now purple: Dingleberry Dickwad: Eh, I thought it was more of how it reveals that some people were sociopaths to begin with and the park just helped bring out their true self.

Only if you (and the crowd) take the position that the robots are sentient, and not just really fancy toasters.

Because you end up with a version of the elevator wielding Mjolnir argument.
[Youtube-video https://www.youtube.com/embed/7XrDgwFxRLo]

Can you be sociopathic towards an automaton? Are you raping your dildo?

That's a bit of an obtuse argument. While yes, they are machines, they do have a form of sentience. It may be forcibly limited so that full on self awareness isn't supposed to be possible, but it's still sentience. They were also designed for the express purpose of being as human like as possible. It can be argued that even though they are machines underneath, they do have emotions and feel pain, and that willingly abusing and causing pain, even if it's to a machine, is sociopath/psychopath like behavior.

But isn't that only if you perceive them as human? If you can maintain the concept that they are only devices, is it any different from tormenting Siri?

I would argue that since they are designed to emulate emotions and pain in a realistic way, someone deriving pleasure from the anguished fear in the face of one of the robots would indeed be a sociopath.

Difficulty: too many Ramseys.

Though having an army of Daeneryses (Daenerysi?) and Drogons would be incredible.
